Idea: Non-PVPers "Teleported" Instead Of Attacked Entering Rival Faction Settlements

(I'm not sure where else to put this)

Basically, an example of this would be if a non-PvP Alliance player attempts to enter the Crossroads, a Horde settlement. Instead of being attacked/ killed/ flagged for PvP, said player will be teleported near the guards, who will be non attackable, similar to if a Alliance/ Horde player attempts to enter the Sunreaver/ Silver Covenant section of Dalaran.

you get teleported in Dal because it is a Sanctuary city. Crossroads is in contested territory. As a player, you need to be aware of your surroundings. There are dangers everywhere.

You one of those who go bowling with the bumpers up?

PVP is Player vs. Player. It doesn't mean that the storyline war is not going on, just that you have chosen not to attack other players or have them attack you. So unless this is part of a broader change to unify factions or wind down the faction war or whatever, then I wouldn't support it. NPCs should work within the story.

Just to be clear. The new PvP system with a world wide toggle and no PvP realms is the new normal. Some people may not like it, but I'll be honest. I rolled on an RP PVP realm in 05. That was over 15 years ago now. I loved that realm, and I built up an army and raided there for years. I don't like PvP so much anymore, but I was stuck. I didn't want to pay the money to move my characters, so I just tolerated it.

The new system injected a whole ton of life into the game for me. Why? Simple. If I want to PvP, I can. But I don't have to worry about having the opposite faction camping major quest hubs and killing me before I can complete a long escort dialogue quest (Remember Malfurion intro quest to ValSharah? - You could get hella ganked and never progress.) In addition, a lot of the "lel RP" PvP crowd who joined with their bad names, and bad attitudes have left. Leaving the realm more in tact with it's RP nature, and less of the lel pvp fuckboys who can't be respectful of the community.

God damn it.......that is a perfect comparison.
We live in an era of "me versus them", an era where something is done that you don't like means you are personally attacked. People whine too much.
Let us play video games and be happy.

What I mean is that its so annoying trying to explore areas without getting killed when you get barely near a rival faction settlement to get the exploration achievements.

Also, what do you mean by bumpers? I just am annoyed when I just want to do exploration. At the very least, don't flag me for PvP so I don't have to hide for 5+ minutes.

Bumpers would be the rails that line the lane that make it impossible to get a gutterball.

On-topic: I did find it pretty annoying to get teleported while flying through highmountain because I was num-locking and went too close to the hunter order hall, which sounds similar to what you are suggesting.

But like others have said, just because you aren't flagged doesn't mean you won't wind up on the wrong side of town and get wrecked for being a part of the enemy faction.

Yeah, no thank you. War Mode is now a thing for a reason and if you're having issues with PvP out in the world then it's time to turn off WM. I know this isn't a WM thread and merely a suggestion while flagged for PvP in the world but it's really a non-issue.

Idea: don't do anything related to PvP if you fear of being attacked/ganked.

Most issues people have with world pvp nowadays can be fixed by turning of warmode. (However I agree some issues are critical like retarded pve-gear/essences etc being usable in pvp but whatever)

I agree with previous posts claiming this is a non-issue.

I personally turn of warmode from time to time when I know its prime time because i know the opposite faction are swarming key areas looking for prey.

Just turn of warmode my dude

Here is an idea for you.
How about not entering rival faction settlements?
