I wonder why you'd have a vested interest in convincing others that the SR system is bad... I'm still waiting on you to provide any valid reasoning or argument beyond one guy having fucked up SR gains as to what's actually wrong with the system. So far all you do is complain that you can't win in gold.
Mate just give up thinking random queue in comp games will get better. either you roflstomp the enemy team, you get roflstomped or its a close game.
Then you will always get the random rager. The onetrick hero guy, always dps role. Oh the enemy team has Phara? I better play mei/junkrat to counter.
If I were to ignore/avoid all of these people I would spend more time on that than playing.
So I just get on with it. I pick my roles, change hero if needed and do my best. Beyond that theres not much to do unless your team is actually willing to communicate & adapt against enemy team.
It's really made that way for few players at the very top of the rankings. There aren't nearly as many players in that league so a large avoid list could have a huge impact on the game.
For the rest of us, given the odds, it doesn't feel very worthwhile using.
It's called, "Blizzard is really really bad at match making in their pvp games." They've never fixed it in any of their games, I don't
ever expect them to do it.
It's always been based on whether or not the team works together and is on the same level of performance. It's aIf it was as based on skill as they say, logic dictates that I would get to same rating on my other account.
team based game, and if someone fails in the team, the team falls apart. Hence the expression, "you are only as
strong as your weakest link."
This is made especially glaring in Role Lock. Unlike before where you could option to switch with someone and
do better at a different role, you're effectively stuck now. If you suck, you bring your team down with you. If
someone else sucks, you're not winning either.
If your dps sucks, you're not winning period, regardless of what role you play.As a support, you can't carry the game if your dps are clueless.
We have very different experiences I guess. Like I said, I use it all the time to get groups and rarely have to wait long for people.
Right now, fairly late, there are like 20 groups. So how can it possibly be empty for you? I am not calling you a liar, I simply think you haven't checked and assume it's empty just cause it's not that popular.
On average they suck just as much on the opposite side. So no reason a great support can't make a difference.
What happens to you ALSO happens on the opposite side. Saying that only your team has the bad players at low SR is bullshit. Both side are, on average, at the same garbage level. You may have the stupid charging Rein, but they have the melee range Orisa.
Again, ON AVERAGE both team are equally bad. Yes some games you can be fucked. But if it happens again and again and again to you, you are the problem... And you're then on your accurate level.
