Blizzard should be ashamed for dropping WoW as their main flagship

Let's be honest, all their games have not been as big as WoW ever was.
Not only that, Classic WoW alone shows that the WoW title can still dominate the gaming market.

It is ashame their main devs got moved over to work on other projects, because Blizzard must realize atm how populair their title still can be if they actually tried.

(Still #1 on twitch on a daily basis, which hasn't happened for years if you don't count release date and even that is over after 2-4 days)

Number of devs is not even the problem but how they handle things is the main problem. All these cashgrab/time-gate systems is what is killing wow.

NO devs were ever moved over to another project. Let's stop spreading that fallacy.

Wellllll a number of the OG top devs for WoW moved to Titan, which eventually became Overwatch.

But that aside WoW has basically been a resource black hole for Blizzard. Every time there's movement, it seems to be into WoW.

Dude, Blizzard is supposed to FORCE people to work on the same project for DECADES?

People want to move on and experience new things, evolve in different ways and learn new things (well, people in general, exclude the majority of WoW players), good on them for working on different project. If there's one thing you don't want in your game dev career is being stuck doing the same thing forever. Good for them being able to work on different projects.

Instead of serving the same stale pudding Blizzard should move on and make something new and better.

I think temporarily making Overwatch the main priority was a good thing, it sold over 40 million copies. They should have put the main focus back on WoW when Overwatch cooled down last year though.

Ya that didn’t happen as most of the layoffs were from activavison not blizzard.

Sorry but the amount of efford they put in Overwatch and HS before that, is insane when u compare how much they try to advertise WoW.

It is the amount of stuff they did for WoW before and after.

U see a big difference in them trying.

Just saying a 2004 game is still dominating the MMORPG market and is still in the top in the gaming market aswell.

Kinda sounds like your just upset they didn't promote classic more as they put out commercials for bfa, they made multiple cgi cinematics for bfa, they put out multiple animated shorts for bfa and they made a book for bfa. Hell they ever put out a comic just for 8.2.

There's no real point here except to create forum drama. Game studios will once-in-a-while release new titles and promote them.

    Closing.
