Patch 8.2.5 Hotfixes - Arcane Mage Buff
We’re working on a tuning adjustment for Arcane Mages. With realm maintenance next week, we plan to:
Classes
Mage (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
- Arcane
- Damage of all abilities increased by 8%.
As always, this change is a work in progress. We’ll let you know if we change plans, and you’ll see the final adjustment in the final hotfixes notes.

enhancement & arcane mages deserves a massive spec rewamp in 9.0. Its hilarious how awful they play. Enh can at least do dmg now but its awfully unfun to play.

It is amazing how many people don't know how to play Arcane properly, then blame the class for being the problem.

oddly enough, i do like how enhancement plays but i do agree it needs a rework, it needs refocused on phys/nature damage and something to make it gain resources based on crit chance. Originally Posted by Grimbolt

There isn’t some secret sect of Arcane mages that has discovered the hidden potential of Arcane. It’s a really bad spec. Your 70th percentile rank for arcane would rank like 30th percentile for fire. Originally Posted by schwarzkopf

Remember when Arcane Barrage was the main attack? And Arcane was about mobility? Arcane is still badass and fun in its own way but the old way was more fun
