    Protests in Chile

Hello! As you may know, there have been protests/riots raging on in my country for the last 3 days. It all started with a fare hike of the metropolitan subway, of 30 pesos (something like 5 cents), but in actuality, this was the straw that broke the camels back. ATM, we're in a curfew, and the military is roaming the streets, alongside the police, and our local version of the FBI.

The protests are at this moment, mostly because we're fed up of our economic inequality, and the complete disconect between the ruling class and the rest of the people.

Don't know what to say beyond hope you stay safe and the protests achieve their goals.

    This.

And I apologize in advance on behalf the US. When Trump mangles his press release on the troubles in Chile. Confusing the country with "Chipolte" and snarking them for not helping the US in the War of 1812.

Hope he doesnt troll the country by employing Kissinger as his special assistant for Chile. /s

No worries! Thankfully, i'm 700 miles away from Santiago ATM (i'm living in the south of Chile, and in the countryside, so i'm "safe"). Another thing. This is the result of 30 years of economic policies that fucked us beyond repair. We have a Gini of 0.47, and our minimum wage is around 400 USD/month. And considering that the cost of living is on the levels of a city in the US (really, our food is way more expensive than yours).

Kissinger is still alive? WTF, does Hell dont want him?
