not really even in PoE you can make a build that can face tank the most powerful boss mechanics, so you could just do the same in diablo and some classes can leap around constantly so its easy to avoid most mechanics anyway.

Maybe baldurs gate will be a slowed down ARPG, but PoE and diablo are fast paced so mechanics are mostly of little importance.

Baldurs Gate was more a classic RPG than a APRG based on lore and a very good quest system which made it so good afterall. It's still a good game if you like a system like that.

The only comparable thing about Diablo and BG is they are a top down RPG.
