SO, I've been thinking about Warcraft lore this morning, and a thought occurred to me.
BFA and Shadowlands seem like sidequests to the true narrative. The real antagonists at this point are the void lords. They are behind all of the conflict that Azeroth has been though over it's existence. So being a simple minded person I wonder, why aren't we firing up the azeroth titan and flying into the void zone to kick ass and chew bubblegum? Kill the void lords, and we can finally win WoW!

Because we as players have knowledge that the characters do not. The characters are constantly pursuing who they think is the BBEG, but they may not know the Voidlords by name. Also, the void is vast, where do you stir said titan?
We live in an era of "me versus them", an era where something is done that you don't like means you are personally attacked. People whine too much.
Let us play video games and be happy.
