Protecting one of the richest companies on the planet from a tiny group of 14 Chinese people sure sounds like it was worth an investigation that took years and spanned across many jurisdictions payed for by the public.

Funnily enough, knock off items from China have been a problem for some companies for years. eBay used to be flooded with cheap, really shitty Chinese knock offs of popular products. You know what the smart companies do though? They go and make more affordable versions of their products and put them to market knowing that people will buy them because they can't afford the more expensive version. Japanese guitar maker Ibanez did this several years back. There was a huge knock off market for one of their artist signature models, you could find hundreds of listings on eBay at any given time that were knock offs about a decade ago, now the official more affordable one's are made in Indonesia and actually are pretty good quality for a sub-$1000 guitar, since they have to conform to Ibanez's quality standards.

So rather than just targeting a small group of people making shitty knock off's, companies should be asking themselves why people are buying them in the first place. And it's usually because they can't afford the real thing but still want the name brand.

I didn't really feel like reading the whole thing.. But the title says it cost apple 6 million dollars.

I give 0 shits in that case. If it was on the scale of hundreds of millions or billions? Yeah, they should've been stopped. But at 6mil? That's like, what, a couple hours of profit for Apple?

Supreme logo had a big issue with knockoffs as well. Supreme brand is everywhere in china, from clothing to phone cases.
