Just to clarify, just tested on the ptr:

Exalted on horde. Have the story achievement on the same horde.

Exalted counts, story doesn't. So you need to do it on an alliance char

I think you have to do a couple of quest in Stormwind with an alliance toon, then both achievement will count even if you did on a horde character and you can unlock them. Would be great to know that for sure though.

Without a doubt, Dark Iron Dwarf. Same thing for Horde, Mag'har Orc.

You can get quite a bit of Honorbound/7th Legion rep per day.

I've unlocked all of mechagon initial quests (thus, so you get the blue dailies unlocked) on the alliance PTR char, and it didn't count

Why is it the old models have diversity with faces and new ones don’t? It’s sad that every one of those mechagnome faces looks the exact same. At least the male ones. Female ones have some differences to be fair but still not much.

It makes me miss the pre WoD days almost where at least the faces all stood out from each other.

Well it's people like you why I posted a positive comment in the first place. Because even though the professional haters are more vocal, and people who feel positive towards something feel less compelled to say it, it's a skewed representation of how players feel about the game. So if this is the "trash" blizz will keep giving us, then I'm pretty happy about it. Besides, these skin/cosmetic related features are completely subjective and judged on personal taste, I suggest looking for something actually problematic about the game to complain about.

Mechagnome DKs are indeed confirmed, I've made one on the PTR.

Blizzard should nerf Horde racials and make Alliance racials more favorable.
I kind of agree with you.

At this juncture, pushing the Alliance's new Allied Race to have a bunch of potentially valuable racials, when it's a race with very little aesthetic appeal for most people, is wise and justified. Contrast with the Vulpera, who have imho average racials, but have a lot of crowd appeal, the Horde are on top in general aesthetically for most people, and the Vulpera are just super appealing and cute in general, their animations are satisfying combined with the tails and floppy ears, and no matter what the racials were like, they were going to be represented in the playerbase.

I believe they should flip this the other way when we get the final Allied Races in 8.4/prepatch/Shadowlands release. (Personally I'm hoping the next set is 1 alliance, 1 horde, and Tortollans who pick a faction at the end of their intro like Pandaren) The Alliance should get Sethrak, who are visually stunning and appeal to a lot of players without having strong racials, and give them mediocre racials in response. Give the Horde either Kthir who have regained their minds with Nzoth dead, find obvious familiarity in the Forsaken, converted into monsters against their will and then ostracized by their native Alliance relatives. Recurring theme with both the Sethrak and Kthir is that they are primarily involved in the OTHER faction's story, and might be banished from what would be their home, by a local aggressor who has already joined a faction (Vulpera and Kul Tirans respectively). Good alternatives are the new Mogu, I'd say there's still a chance for Fallen Elves (Raised by Sylvanas and now part of the Forsaken), and all three of this fit the idea of being sort of only 'okay' aesthetically, but could be potentially kitted with some really strong racials that would fill their numbers out across the servers.

I know this is shocking and difficult to process, but the world doesn't begin and end with your preferences. Gasp, I know.

Agreed 100%, I can't wait to make some Mechagnomes.

I really don't know if it's worth voicing my displeasure about the Junk Gnomes more. They're ugly diaperbabbies and don't really add anything new. Just regular Gnomes with the knob turned up to 11.

As an aside, while their heritage armor is appreciated (since it allows them to look more like proper robots), I find it to be a rather ironic choice of heritage armor. The Junker Gnomes that join the Alliance are Prince Erazmin's Rustbolt Rebellion. These Gnomes opposed King Mechagon because he planned to fully mechanize them to the point that they were just machines. This armor, and especially the helmet is worn by fully Mechanized Junker Gnomes on Mechagon, so essentially, you're wearing a set that symbolizes all that you opposed.

As somebody who likes Gnomes, I don't care for these at all.
Can't wait until they hijack the already scarce Gnome representation in the story in future narratives.

I see this type of comment and I honestly wonder what is wrong with people's eyes.

With the exception of Undead (missing jaws, etc) each 'vanilla race' used the exact same low-poly headmesh for every single face. The only difference was in the textures, which was half a face mirrored to both sides of the mesh. They didn't have teeth, they didn't even have proper eyes. Just little animated circles for the irises and flesh-colored squares that popped in and out of the head to simulate blinking.

2D faces textured onto heads with around the same geometry as a N64 game. Some of those faces looked nice, absolutely, but the differences begin and end with textures.

Incorrect. There are guards in Rustbolt wearing that armor, and the helmet is just that: a helmet. If you actually clip your camera into the heads of hostile Mechagnomes, you would see that there is a full gnome head underneath.

Ironmidget incoming, my only gripe is that transmog options are limited given that legs and bracers/gloves won't show due to the prosthetics.

I was iffy about that myself, but thankfully there's some variety in leg/arm appearance. On the PTR I honestly didn't even notice the lack of gear on their limbs after a short while.

Yeah, its just gonna look odd with some of the more popular tier sets etc. Not that it really matters much if I am gonna run around in the heritage armor pretending to be a miniature version of Iron Man.

I am aware of that. But that helm represents a fully mechanized head. That's how Blizzard has used it and that's why there's a cog going through what would be brain matter otherwise.

Again, don't get me wrong. It's actually something I like and might be the one reason why I could/would maybe ever roll a Junker Gnome, but that's what it represents and what it's meant to be.
