I've simply posted images of the type of half orcs i would actually quite like or not mind playing.

We already have Mag'har and normal orcs. Play one of those

Seriously Chozo, what's not orcish about ANY of those pics? Theya re meant to be half orcs. Admittedly I chose concepts I found more aesthetically pleasing, but they are meant to encapture orc and human/elven features, but in a way that I agreed looked good.

i would not like to play a half-anything. there are many RPGs and MMORPGS out there already that have a lot of race choices and a lot of those games, 6 of their 10 races are "half-_____" races. perhaps it's good for their games.

no half-orcs and certainly no half-elves.

Most of warcraft is like this, if you think orcs and elves are edgy, then half orcs will be

Sure, but... Remember, in universe they are rare and basically almost always a result of rape. And we all know how Blizzard avoids the subject of rape (which is part of the wars, but remember, PG-13, therefore only murder and torture is ok ), so you can forget about it.
Half-elves would be more believable, but even then...

I'd rather play content than a new race. New stuff is needed every now and then for sure, but flooding the game with massive amounts of it could potentially mean less development time elsewhere. Blizzards current pace on it is fine, even one new race every other expansion was fine.

I am not certain that it would be the best idea to implement a playable race based on halfbreeds. It would be Void Elves all over again (something that is supposed to be rare, but you see them everywhere ingame).

Although I wouldn't object to seeing more NPCs of such backgrounds, since all we have now are bunch of human-elf and orc-draenei offspring.

    AH!
fun detected, blizz wont allow it.

Do you even play the game you are opening threads about non-stop?

Judging by the frequency of these outlandish topics you wouldn't have time to finish a normal dungeon. Can you just play the game instead?

I am literally a half orc irl if those are anything to go by haha.

Why would I play a disgusting halfbreed when I can play the real thing?

    and this

go to tumblr if you want to blog post images of stuff. or one of 4chans boards
Warcraft orcs physically draw insperation from warhammer fantasy orcs.

Just warcraft orcs are smarter, and don't grow out of the ground like fungus.

This is a much more brutish take on orc looks as apposed to Tolkien who's orcs were corrupted elves Same as in elder scrolls

I don't think it's in the best interest to go down the half breed route and explore that side of the lore, I know they exhist to some degree in the lore rexar being half Oger and there's t+a's kid (thankfully the abomination that was medan was retconned)

But its a rabbit hole not worth going down for that sake of a few who might want a human looking Orc. Wow systems arn't nearly flexible enough to cater for things that niche.

Probably because they are drawn by deviantart and tumblr artists, who unsurprisingly, are the demographic who likes fall out boy.
    Could be worse.
Atleast it's not half Vulpera furry porn.

Still requires Exterminatus on this thread though.

You’re more likely to get Half-Orc/Half-Draenei, like Garona and Lantressor.

Oh, most of your pics are very Orcish. But they also are very human/elven, which hurts the Orcish side!

Most Half Orcs concept will look human/elven'ish because they are born in settings were the humans are the "main characters". In WoW, there's no such a thing. What if we had a male Half Orc / Half Draenei in art? It wouldn't look pretty. Imagine a Draenei with an Orc's face, for example, instead of the usual "humanization" that happens with such hybrids. Or an Orc / Troll. Gigantic tusks, mighty noses, etc.

Ah okay, thanks for the clarification of what you meant.

Yes you are right, I went for a more humanised/elvenised oricsh concept, fitting the half orc/human or orc/elf or orc/draenei - this leads to softer human likfke fac with less prominent orc facial features, however the green tinge to the skin tone and tusks coming out are orc dominant features that make sense. However the point was for more aesthetically appealing orc related race.

The best way to show a human mix in the orc is really for the face to be human and have human hair/beards. There is literally no other way for human to come through. Same with elves, except you add elongated ears and elven face, with teeth and skin colour leaning to the orc side.

For more powerful orc features, or bigger tusks more monsterish you are looking for Mok'nathal - the half orc/ogre and your suggested orc/troll mix couldyeild that also. i dont think they would be any where near as popular as handsome/prettier half orcs. And I think good looking half orcs would challenge the overwhelming elf dominance on the horde side. Especially if they make an effort to give them a good face and a good muscular body, not exaggerated like humans or orcs are but like a sweet spot in between - they could be real hit. And I think done right would knock the blood leves off the top spot.

Blood elf main attractions is that they are porpotioned well and animated in a likeable way, you can create a different body that achieves a similarly favourable reaction.

I'll stick with my Mag'har orcs, get that stinky half-breed outta here.

  20. #40
Considering there are few specialized classes that differentiate an Orc and a Half Orc, I'd probably not be concerned either way.

Even if Rexxar and the Mok'nathal are known as Beastmasters, every Hunter of all Races does pretty much the same thing. Unless there is something unique to them like being able to use Axes/Throwing Axes or being able to call more pets or something, it's not really going to be much of a difference than playing an Orc or Mag'har.

I feel the same way about Kul Tirans, honestly. Aside from Druids, they're pretty much just big humans for every other class variation.
