No, I don't pay the salary of the barber because I chose not to. I also don't pay salaries of veterinarians because I do not own pets.
I pay yours becouse someone else (the government) does that with my money.
Not sure what is your problem with this obvious fact.

Why do you mention easter? Do the infected people die less often during holidays?

A number of places are closed today due to it being a holiday. Fewer people out and about.

True, but I don't think anyone would be willing to claim that less people died today because they didn't go out shopping since 48h ago. It takes a bit longer to die after getting it.

No, they are registered and tested less during holidays.

    Because they are.

The testing numbers drop even every Sunday, not to mention special holiday like Easter.

In Finland for example they had a 75% drop on testing.

A lot of sites are closed for the holiday especially since there's not a lot of staff to begin so no sense to open with people taking off for religious hoilday.

For example, private testing is resumed to minimum, as most of those entities don't work during weekends or holidays.

Not sure where you guys live but over here things are open 24/7.
It doesn't matter though because Italy's numbers are quite consistent with their trend. That's all there is to say.

Well, learning that hospitals / homes for the elderly are infection centers and observing the lockdowns for a few weeks were bound to show some success eventually.

In many places there is a difference between the place where someone take the swab and the labs that do the actual testing, and the test result come back days later - if there is anyway a delay it doesn't make sense to have that staff running 24/7 (especially during holidays) since that would increase the risk of errors.
And then there is the actual reporting of summaries that also can be delayed, similarly as death counts.

For comparison here are Italy's death number for Saturday-Sunday-Monday for three weeks:
    681-525-636
    889-756-812
    619-431-X

The numbers seem to consistently be lower on Sunday.

And here are IHME's projection from April 7th for deaths in Italy starting at April 6th with real numbers beneath:
    699-474-426-380-338-293-257
    636-604-542-610-570-619-431

It sure is great to see.
Spain is starting to lift some restrictions next week as well after they also observe a steady downward trend.
    The end is in sight.

I wonder how long before their families start dying of CCP virus and they complain about how its systemic racism's fault, not their own stupidity?
