At the end of Shadowlands......Sargeras see that a group of the living can beat back and destroy the Old Gods. He is born again hard, and rejoins the Pantheon. They all come back to Azeroth and he dematerializes the sword and they all help heal the scar.

There is still a sword sticking out of Silithus. It's the whole reason the planet was crying out in pain.
