You don't think a straight-coded gay mayor of a small Indiana town managing to out-caucus a candidate with nearly universal name recognition and policy associations is winning the optics game?
Bernie's shtick is the idea of a popular revolution. If he can't hack it in Iowa of all places, that doesn't bode well for places he typically does worse in.
I.e. the South.

The entire theory of his campaign went up in smoke... There was no elevated turnout amongst his core constituency... young people.
I didn't speak for anyone, I said it skews into that direction.
Also you are a progressive overseas? Where?
Which candidate do you prefer then?
Just curious, because he is the only one with mostly progressive policies and since you identify as progressive... I am confused.
I mean I guess sometimes you just don't like the politician as a person, but for me personally this only matters if multiple people have policies I like.
PS I meant progressive from a European perspective btw, if that was not clear maybe
Yes, I also meant from a European perspective, given that I was born in Australia. You know, that place that has universal healthcare, subsidised tertiary education, high minimum wage, et cetera.
And I'm firmly in Warren's camp despite being quite a red blooded socialist. Something Bernie Bros seem to have a difficult time comprehending, hence why they feel the need to resort to calling me a closet right winger despite years of visceral left wing posting on this very forum.

I mean you could explain your position against Sanders instead of just trashing him in every 2nd post.
Also Warren is at least centrist and I conceded in my first post that she could steal some progressives. So I really don't understand your problem with that post.
PS okay, so policies are not the problem (makes sense), what's with his competence? :O
And why do you think Warren is more competent? (not saying she isn't, she mostly is... but she also had some blunders over the last few months, which actually made me swing from her to Bernie) [I can't vote anyway though, so whatever]

If you're reading enough of my posts to know what every 2nd one contains, you should be well familiar with my reasoning.
"Steal" implies Bernie is entitled to our votes. He isn't.Also Warren is at least centrist and I conceded in my first post that she could steal some progressives. So I really don't understand your problem with that post.
Also Elizabeth "Wealth Tax" Warren is a centrist? Y'all are deluded. She's firmly center-left.
Quite frankly she has more in common with the baseline Democrat voter than Bernie. In any other country he'd be shunted off to some tinpot third party like Alexis Tsipras.

Throw em on ignore it's one thing to have disagreement its another when they're just annoying Reply Guys™
Or hell, if he wanted to go full Nick Xenophon and blatantly run on a cult of personality ticket he could just start the Bernie Sanders Team party.

I've in no way, ever disputed that the optics are garbage. Or that the IDP is a fucking disaster and needs to have their leadership resign.
What I have disputed is everything ranging from complaints about "BUT IT SHOULD BE POPULAR VOTE!" to "BUT RULES WERE CHANGED!" to "BUT THEY ARE ROUNDING UP WRONG!" because in almost every instance there's either no actual data backing up the allegations (there is human error, but most of the "rounding issues" were actually how the numbers are supposed to be handled) or people are basically getting mad that they didn't bother to read the rules on how these things work for the last 4 years and expect immediate change now that they're upset.
