Black Morass was about having to help Medivh open the portal to allow hte Orcs to rampage across Azeroth.
Arguably. While Culling is one of my favorites, from both a lore and gameplay perspective I found Black Morass pretty boring. I understood why it was important to the timeline to ensure it went off without a hitch, but the dungeon itself was very story-light and was more or less just you waiting on spawn windows.

End Time wasn't so much about us upholding an atrocity as preventing one, and it's one of my favorite Caverns of Time dungeons. Seeing what could happen if we fail, I feel, is a much more effective method of explaining why the adventurers make so many apparently-bad decisions that work out in the end Because Plot--for example, the events from The Blank Scroll would probably have been much more effective as a storytelling tool if it'd been represented ingame not as the result of some all-powerful, reality-shifting relic, but a dungeon wherein we're shown a timeline where Anduin never shattered the Divine Bell because the SI:7 team was successful in sending him home, leading to Garrosh's Sha-empowered superorcs turning on the rest of the world, forcing a last stand at Stormwind Harbor and culminating in the adventurers being teleported back to the proper timeline after the last stand crumbles.
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!

For WoD I felt like the battle of blackrock spire would have been a good one, showing the old school alliance and horde battling it out. As well as introducing Turalyon and Alleria for people not famliar with the old WC 2 lore before their reintroduction in Legion.

I still want a true War of the Ancients. The Well of Eternity is a travesty lol. That could have been so much more and it got relegated to a dungeon that wasn't even that great.

I would also love to see maybe some of the WC1 and 2 stuff more fleshed out. We got some of it but I would love a sort of Seige of Stormwind or something along those lines. Only issue with that is is might be too similar in feel to Stratholme.

Wow a good idea, could bring Grim Batol as a raid instance like they wanted it to be back in the days I didnt really like Grim Batol as 5 man instance, I felt it was made for something more than 20-30 min voyage

    -War against the Aqir:
Fight as one of the ancient trolls that stopped the resurgence of the Black Empire

-War of the Three Hammers and the summoning of Ragnaros:
As a Dark Iron, ensure that your Emperor completes the summoning of the Firelord

    -War of the Satyr:
Participate in the final battle between the Legion's remnants and the Kaldorei

    -Battle at Blackrock Spire
Ensure both the victory of Orgrim Doomhammer over Lothar as well as his defeat afterwards to protect the future
This world don't give us nothing. It be our lot to suffer... and our duty to fight back.

so for the case of what ones I want based on major events, since the next expac is about death the only one I got from my list that is applicable for the future is this one:

    Arthas' betrayal
    Escape from Lordearon [PART 1]
All factions zone in as: Human

You spawn in some corner of capital city. You learn of some crazy commotion going on and see a bunch of people just get annihilated. You panic and you run from the scene. As you go along more and more such problems happening, until eventually you see thats its a team of necromancers and zombies from cult of the damned going about the city killing. Your objective isnt to fight some villain or to help them as before, instead you are just some dude or dudet who has to escape. As you go along, you hear Arthas is in the capital. You dont know yet but he has already killed Terenas. You think hes on your side and eventually you make it to the throne room. Only to realize what Arthas truly did. You put your back against the wall and fight but this is Arthas after all and Blamo its over. And you are raised as a deathknight.

Arthas' betrayal: Assault on Silvermoon [Part 2]
All factions zone in as: High elves

You are part of Arthas' vanguard on your way to the sunwell. This time its not about escaping. Its about the generic fighting. You are part of a team of deathknights breaking down the defenses, Thassarian is part of your team. You meet Darkan, you come across Sylvanas. You come across Thassarian killing Koltira and raising him. And eventually the instance ends with Sylvanas getting smacked and risen by Arthas.
Blood Elves were based on a STRONG request from a poll of Asian players where many remarked on the Horde side that they and their girlfriends wanted a non-creepy femme race to play (Source)

    But alas.

    Also, as a dwarf enthousiast...

War of the Three Hammers - Invasion of Grim Batol
    • Grim Batol before it fell to ruin, assisting Khardros Wildhammer in fighting to, and defeating Modgud who is wielding Xal'latath and is bringing the shadows of Grim Batol to life.
    • Moral Dilemma: This actually comes after Modgud is defeated, since the players have a chance to claim Xal'latath at an earlier point in time... Not so much a moral dilemma as it's a challenge to ignore her whispers. Could be a kind of encounter all of its own.

War of the Three Hammers - Summoning of Ragnaros
    • The Burning Steppes / Searing Gorge areas before they were quite so burning and searing, seeing how those areas looked like before they were scorched flat by Ragnaros's arrival into Azeroth. Assisting Madoran Bronzebeard in fighting back the Dark Iron armies from Dun Morogh, culminating into Ragnaros's rebirth. Can't defeat Ragnaros in the dungeon, the encounter with him would involve sealing him down into the Molten Core while helping the Bronzebeard armies survive.
    • Moral Dilemma: If Ragnaros wasn't summoned to Azeroth and his powers diminished by the time he got sent back to Firelands, he would've been far more powerful during the invasion of Hyjal? Maybe? Not sure.
Both of the Three Hammers events would be so cool. One if not both of these needs to happen for sure!

Aw man could you imagine the moment Grom drank the blood of mannoroth? But we stop him and create a whole timeline so we can appreciate the orcs pre-corruption? Sounds like a pretty neato expansion.

(/s. I'm not sure, but I'm a fan of your ideas!)

I take it back, BfA is not the lowest the games lore could have gone, this thread proves that.

I always felt a good Caverns of Time dungeon would have been escorting young Varian out of Stormwind when the orcs invaded in the First War. I think the time for that has long since passed, though; it would have fit best around Cataclysm, or potentially Warlords of Draenor.

Holy fuck. I had never considered that. Everyone is race-changed to undead, as a member of the scourge under the command of Arthas. That would be sick.

I already burned down Teldrassil. It wasn't Sylvanas, it was the Horde.

This is why I fucking hate fighting our Warchief. It makes everything we do meaningless, it wasn't "us", even though I definitely remember being there and killing a lot of Night Elves for the glory of the Horde.

Aqir-Troll war is the first thing that pops to mind. Though I'd much prefer the ability to join the Infinite Dragonflight and help them unmake the last few expansions.

But for that to be properly reflected we'd need to be incapable of controlling our characters as we'd be (or pretend to be) mindless slaves of the Scourge. We'd stick out like sore thumbs otherwise and Arthas would turn on us.

Man CoT dungeons were amazing, even todays Timewalking its enjoyable. IDK why didnt continue taking Key moments in the Warcraft history into dungeons.

Personally i would looooooove to be part of the Troll Wars or just key moments of the Trolls vs the Black Empire or just the Theramore Incident following Rexxar Rokhan and Chen (if Chen is still canon in the founding of Durotar offcourse)

Chen is still canon to those events, yes. He actually refers to them in MoP, as well as in "Shadows of the Horde" as he knows Vol'jin rather personally.

I would like to see more "Future" dungeons like the Dungeons we got in Cataclysm. Where we get to go through the worst case scenario of the current threats and events. Gives you more of an idea of what exactly you're fighting to prevent.

We could be part of Dark'khans traitors instead of being part of Arthas' team. Everyone zones in as High Elves and we have to help Dar'khan secure the relics to let Arthas through the gates?

I have to admit some curiosity to being able to see the string of events that actually cause Nozdormu to become Murozond, especially in light of the Old Gods now all having been killed (as they were supposedly the origin of his fall to darkness, as it were).

Most likely the wisest Enhancement Shaman.
