    Mythic Hivemind tips

    Hi guys,

Our guild is starting Mythic Hivemind progression and wanted to ask if anyone has any helpful tips that might reduce our wipe count. We've gone through most of the guides and on paper the fight doesn't look too scary outside of a few overlaps for which we'll set CDs, but it's always different when you're actually doing it.

For CDs, it seems that ideal places are to have throughput for Frenzy and then dmg reduction for Eruption. Is this mostly correct?

Anything else that you found during your progression that you wish you knew ahead of time? Thank you in advance!

use healing cds for frenzy and link/barrier+a warrior shout for the add that blows up,the only tip is really to be careful on avoiding taking extra dmg, dont get hit by the bugs,or the purple circle, stack when you can to avoid green shit everywhere, and dps the right things,if you killed doggy this boss is kinda the same difficulty wise

the hardest part in my experience there, was when dps didnt kill darters and we got far to much frenzy dmg that healing cd couldnt cover

During first Volatile Eruption we didn’t kill the exploding add and instead right after the wave of roly polys we stacked on Kazir for a spirit link right when the add exploded then spread for void eruption; pretty much negated the exploding mechanic

Thank you, I also meant to ask how your experience has been with 2 vs 3 tanking and 4 vs 5 healing as we're seeing differing opinions.

Using 3 tanks is completely useless, it will just make you have less damage.

As for the healers, since you are starting Hivemind progress now and not 2 months ago I would say using 5 healers is probably the best option because your healers probably aren’t the best and your raiders might be taking avoidable damage quite a bit as well.

This fight is completely free if you just have everyone in the raid understand that all adds should be hardswapped to and focused down, the bosses just flop eventually. Save most cooldowns for Frenzy and pick a single cooldown you use for Eruption+Echoing Void overlap since the Eruption doesn’t oneshot.

Going 4 healers instead of 5 will not really make you skip anything important. The worst overlaps are relatively early and late parts of the fight have huge breaks between mechanics. Because of that, having one extra set of cooldown might actually save people from their own mistakes - although, obviously, drone exploding with +damage stacks on people will still be lethal.

And if a single dps is the difference between darters being alive or dead, people need to learn to focus their damage properly.
