Do it for him! - Or why there is a focus on male muscular bodies nowadays in WoW

Do you remember the good old days, when female nightelfs were sexy? Do you remember when their dance was erotic, and not erratic? Do you think sometimes, that you would want those old times back, where female characters were a straight mens fantasy?

Well, the draenei and Bloodelfs still seem to be in that boat, but it seems to me female nightelfs had been intentionally de-sexualized. I let the readers of this thread decide if this is a good or a bad thing. But please consider that the initial playerbase of world of warcraft was males in their best years, which have an overwhelming addiction to beautiful female bodies. I mean, just check out the most penetrated mod topic in skyrim, and you probably get an impression, what medieval game modding means for many of its players.

For some reason, and i have an idea, which, we suddenly get muscular males and have a focus on handsome guys in world of warcraft nowadays. The male zandalari trolls seem to be especially catered to blizzards new diverse playerbase.

While i would like to have my old female nightelfs back, with a sexualized focus, and in specially beautiful feet, not as big fangs, and not that crippled abnominations they are nowadays.

What do you think? Do you like sexy races? Do you want blizzard to add more males that look like the straight woman or gay mens wet dream? Or do you want more sexy female races?

Do it for him! Yes, please, Blizzard.

Plenty of wow characters are still sexy. If you want more go play a jrpg or make pornhub premium its free.

On one hand i understand Blizzard, technically WoW is a 12+ game
On the other hand the current player base must be around 30+ (lets face it, WoW isn't a new player magnet)
On the other other hand it bothers me that they desexualized WoW for other reasons, reasons we can't talk about on this forums because you get instant banned for mentioning certain people who push certain agendas

The funny part? I know multiple girl player who absolutely loved and enjoyed sexy females in the game.

on the off chance that this isnt some madmans mad ravings....uhm...it makes zero sense for wow females to have ''sexy bodies'' (first off that is a subjective thing, its not a thing on its own),wow isnt victoria's secret catalogue, wow is a rough warrior-like world, women are going to be muscular,or fat depending on the society, but not models

Have you ever played skyrim and browsed the mods it offers? Then tell me again that medieval fantasy games do not adress the audience i talked about.

If I wasn't sure I'd probably have to sit in time out for a few days, I'd post the Billy Madison clip. Instead, I'll just say this: Nothing about this topic is worth discussing. The game is no more or less sexualized today than it was when it was launched. You needn't go any further than Goldshire Inn on Moon Guard for all the proof in this world that "sexy female Night Elf dancing" is still in full swing.

what the heck does my personal preference in female bodies have to do with realistic expectations of bodies in a world like skyrim or wow?

No. WoW's audience/playerbase is not (and never has been) exclusively male, not even in the 'good old days' of Classic. So you're going to have to look elsewhere for... whatever the fuck all of that was.
Appreciate your time with friends and family while they're here. Don't wait until they're gone to tell them what they mean to you.

So you want realism in a game where wolves drop 2 hand axes?

So a bunch of porn/fetish mods from some incels with too much time on their hands somehow means the game addresses the 'audience' you're talking about? Is your logic seriously that bad?

Well, i think female Nightelfs have been desexualized to adress female players. Their dance animation is not meant to be sexy anymore, but more about being funny. I mean, just watch their face while they dance.

And then these .. fangs.. and their.. feet.. i mean, is it possible to be even more ugly?

The audience in classic WoW were mainly adult males, and i was one of them. There was a reason why nightelfs were sexy.

Well, since WoW exists, it was always sex that sells a lot. But in the old days there was a focus on female bodies. Nowadays, the focus shifted towards male bodies.

Just a thought... but maybe that wasn't really the intended purpose in the first place?

what is ''male body'' or ''female body'' suposed to mean?muscles?lol, also have you seen how models looked in the ''old days'',female trolls and gnomes looked like something out of a horror movie, female orcs still look buff, and seriously now...are blood elves, draenei, human females not apealing enough for you?

But it was. There was a question at an early blizzcon towards Afrasiabi if it is intended females look like models and if Blizzard wants to change it. Afrasiabi answered that it was intended and that they would not change it.

But, they changed it. Based on the development in society and based on the change of their audience i would believe.

also you seem to have a night elf fetish lol,and night elves looking like models made no sense, they are a female warrior society, female night elves should look like orc females

If i remember right, a female player asked Afrasiabi if the females have to look like models from Victorias Secret, and he said "Yes, yes they are. And yes, they have to.".

Draenei, Humans, Nightelfs and Bloodelfs all fit into the old male fantasy, while Nightelfs have been removed from that. For a reason i do not really know. If i could take a guess, it is about the possibilty many female players chose them.
