Like... This game was revealed at Blizzcon 2018... and had a playable demo, yet it still has no set release date. I mean this is a mobile game, how the hell does a mobile game take this long to make? With this long of a dev cycle, this better be the greatest mobile game of all time.

Anyway, not much news. The game was just a PR mess, but we know it's still being developed and it's going to be released. There were rumors about it being ready for launch (words from Netease, about "them being ready but Blizzard pulling the brakes"). There were also rumors about some alpha/beta going on in the east and it having a very bad player reception.

I think they had literally zero things ready about Diablo in 2018 and they went with it because they couldn't go totally silent about the franchise, even if it was objectively too soon to reveal anything.

The demo on blizzcon 2019 felt really cool. But I guess they are extra careful because they do not want more backlash. Sometimes I wonder if they are waiting for Diablo 4 to have an alpha.

I mean, the game is a fucking copy paste of D3 painted over the corpse of an already near finished Diablo clone that Blizzard would've sued into oblivion if it weren't for someone's decision to brand it instead.

I read, the developers said a couple of times that they are still at the development stage, although there is not much information from them. I think that it’s not the point here that they want to heat up the interface to the output of the game, but the reason is completely different. there are other projects that take more time and bring more money, that’s the whole answer. this is usually the case with different games. but rely on 2020 is not worth it, the game should be released later

I think they are going to shadow drop it at some point and just not make a big deal about, or the other thing they cou;d be doing is adding more polish to it.

to be honest, they should just release it , there will no good time to do it, they will do a lot of money with the chinese and probably a few buck in america, if the game is fun to play, peoples will forgot the drama that was behind that

Don't think so. It would be just more effort for nothing, since the game is clearly a standard mobile "arpgacha" and that kind of thing is not really working on PCs.

Apparently no one even bothers to search official channels and would rather shit on Blizzard. They posted at Blizzcon an update tonthe game and announced beta testing would happen Q2.

This always should be presented as 'Fallout Shelter' for Diablo IV. And I hope it will be used this way - as appetizer few months before DIV release.

No idea. Obviously they had a working demo at BlizzCon '18 and I sincerely doubt it's going to be anything big. The info that came out has been confusing though be NetEase said they were done their part earlier last year. We can only assume it's on Blizzard Soon (TM).

Blizzard are likely delaying its launch until after Diablo 4. Mostly to avoid more backlash, but also I assume they hope putting out a proper PC Diablo game first will make people more amenable to a mobile version.

At this point... probably not launched because of people lashing the game... even tho its was amazing at blizzcon. So probably i suspect its going to be release the same year as D4 but with a 5 month window.... OR, never and probably would be launch as a DLC of D3 or a side level of 4.

To be honest, at this point the damage is done already, so postponing it won't change a thing. Players won't forget the Blizzcon debacle.

I'd like to have it in a short time. It's not like i need it, but it would be a decent time killer to scratch my Diablo itch until D4. Plus it's not like i'm going to play it nonstop, probably i'll just install, play for a short while, get bored by it being a generic chinese gacha/grind mobile arpg and uninstall.
