So we all saw the story where Trump admitted that if voting was easier, "...you'd never have a Republican elected in this country again."
That was a few days ago, but in light of the coronavirus there are still a lot of discussions going on about delaying elections, expanding absentee ballots etc. Georgia is having one of those discussions right now, and Democrats are pushing for absentee ballots for all as an option.
Well, Georgia state Speaker of the House David Ralston was interviewed about this recently - https://www.ajc.com/news/state--regi...mpression=true
Why is it that Republicans seem to no longer be concerned about discussing the fact that their party doesn't just benefit from, but relies on voter suppression in order to maintain power? This used to be the quiet part that was never said out loud, but more and more often we're seeing Republicans openly admit this.“This will be extremely devastating to Republicans and conservatives in Georgia,” Ralston, a Republican from Blue Ridge, said during an interview with FetchYourNews, a North Georgia news site. “Every registered voter is going to get one of these. … This will certainly drive up turnout.”
