Wild guess with very little basis in reality that's been baking in my mind overnight: Dark Nexus II with Tassadar rework + skin.

Why? Tassadar's rework has been in the works for more than a year now. Yes, literally. And they've been dropping sly hints over the last few months that he'll be done "Soon(TM)". And with the reduced cadence, there's no way they're dropping the rework right next to a hero release. They'll want to spread out the hype, understandably.

And why would a new hero be teased with a picture of the Raven Lord? Specifically one where he's holding a Singularity. The last time we saw this we got the Dark Nexus. It would be a great opportunity to do a "sith"/Tal'darim Tassadar skin (for those not in the loop, the Tal'darim are Alarak's tribe of protoss).

All of the above combined with the fact that they exhausted massive amounts of resources on Deathwing truly makes me think that this is too soon for a new hero. They haven't said it outright, but reading between the lines in comments made since Deathwing's reveal would suggest that they had to crunch to get him out before the end of 2019. Efforts like that have a cost, and I unfortunately believe we have to pace our expectations for this year.

The game is getting basically no content anymore and they spend their timing creating more shitty nexus heroes. Whoever is left on that team has no idea what they're doing.

I thought Blizzard were done with HotS? Or was that just the e-sports side of it?

They more or less are. Granted, yes, they are still developing content for it, but it is at a snail's pace
given how the content has been released since it's 1st year.

This game had so much potential. I'm still sad how it "ended"

Clearly Blizzard didn't think so with how popular the original Dota was, which is why they got
fantastically butthurt about it once the game surprise surprise, actually was released officially.

It's why they almost made that bullshit rule currently in WC3:R, where they own all mods players
make and they can make any revenue they want.

They released this game way too late in the scene, and it was too different from the others.
I personally like it's simplicity, but unfortunately, the game relies too heavily on teamwork
in a sea of mostly solo players.

I don't get the hate for Qira, she's one of my favorite heroes to play. Her swing ability is one of the most fun abilities there is. And i don't know of any characters that would be able to have the exact same toolkit as hers and have it work.

I hated Qhira until I started playing with her. I think HotS had appeal. My dota 2 friends started to play it because dota takes so long and they like the creative abilities in heroes like ragnaros, probius, imperius, abathur, etc. Even with quarantine they are not playing dota 2 that much because they start to fight within the team haha

I don't get the hate for Qira, she's one of my favorite heroes to play. Her swing ability is one of the most fun abilities there is. And i don't know of any characters that would be able to have the exact same toolkit as hers and have it work.

Nothing to do with her tool kit. That's something that could have been very easy to put on an established hero, which is the problem. She's a literal nobody they put in a game for Blizzard characters which has hundreds of options to choose from.

Which again goes back to the problem of a sizable chunk of the team being reassigned, including the story team. Orphea was well-known by the time they announced her officially as a hero. Qhira would have gotten the same treatment if upper manglement hadn't interfered.

Still kinda sad about the fate of HoTs I was never a fan of Dota or lol but Hots i loved because it was team based, and characters i knoew, I wish it wasnt abandoned.

I wonder why they chose this for the Protoss characters specifically. Fenix makes sense, but I'm sure there's other heroes that could use more skins than Tassadar. I'm looking at you Imperius.

Nope. They've already said that there are no Nexus hero in development (at the time of the AMA in which they said it), and that the Raven Lord likely isn't becoming a playable one at all.

It's a little different when Blizzard tried to have a story with Overwatch but didn't do anything with it till later. Heroes was just about Blizzard characters fighting. I get what you mean but I disagree.
