They literally called Trump the only one to stop the collapse of western culture. What sort of darkness do you live in, for that to be the light? Are you in constant fear of antifa and rioters? Do you care that Trump’s tax cut, will defund your social security by 2023? Do you think Biden, the man behind criminal justice reform and Harris, a DA that every extreme liberal is shitting on, are controlled by rioters?

See... this is perspectives created by rhetoric. You see your self in darkness, with Trump as the light. While the DNC presented a country of light and unity, with only one man representing darkness.

Mail in voting, without a sound way to making sure the vote is valid, is going to delay the results and also raise a lot of questions as to the validity of the votes.
We have mail in voting in several states and literally across the world. In this world of light that Trump presented, where was him talking about making mail in voting safer and not just preventing it? If Trump did so well, why does more people voting, seem like a risk?

Not true... Social Security being defunded as a result of Trump’s promised tax cut, will hit him by 2023.

I know. Was just making a sweeping generalisation. Was mainly implying how selfish, blind and narrow minded the poster is.

Totally, I used it to point it out again.

How did everyone like that fireworks for Trump? With that sign in the background... “Trump failed us, 180000 dead”...

I thought the Lincoln Project's advert on Trump's Wall was particularly precise.

I know I’m the only concerned with this but I have the worst feeling that there will be mass shootings at polling stations in the democrat areas.

Because of trumps stupid mouth of having polling stations be “watched”.

I'm actually astonished how much effort they seemingly put into trying to get the black vote. They largely wasted their time, of course.
It wasn't so much about trying to get the black vote, as it was to try to get the vote of white people who want a Republican in power, but are somewhat hesitant to vote for a racist. The plan was to get them to think to themselves, "Wow, if all these black and brown people are supporting him, he can't possibly be a racist. He's got my vote."

Mail in voting has never be invalid. EVER. Why are you questioning something we've been doing for 20 years?

Also I'm gonna spam this thread with this video just one more time

cuz damn that ad was amazing!
They are really killing it with those ads. I wonder if there is some tacit agreement where Republicans Against Trump are going on the attack, while Biden keeps it positive.

What facts do you have for this?

You know people can't just mail in a sheet of paper from their desk saying who they are voting for right? I mean do you know that...right?

I ask because mail in voting has been a thing since the Civil fucking War.

I feel like the election validity attack is just the start. The "October Surprise" is still in the periphery and I don't think the USPS was their main attack. We have all talked about what dirty tricks Trump is planning to win. The GOP is already spending $20M to fund 50,000 "Poll Watchers", which is only going to end in violence.

He doesn't have any facts, and this is [strangely] the first time the issue has been raised. Odd, right?

You receive the ballot from your board of elections and you send the completed document back. It couldn't be any fucking easier than that. The votes are counted on election day with election watchers from both parties present.

So sick of all of this misinformation. The only reason he's presenting absentee ballot voting as sketchy is because Trump is.

like i know Americans like taking things to extreme but there's a level they should stop at. So many unregulated news outlets that just spout nonsense to try to acquire votes.
There were several lengthy articles and books (and even classes) about the future of "extreme" journalism and how it affects society. Michael Crichton (of all people) covered it in a relatively unrelated fiction book by pointing out how the media is based almost entirely on profit (NPR is one of the few exceptions, I can't think of a conservative media outlet that isn't profit based, perhaps there is), and the dramatic increase in vernacular by the media to bump ratings/sales/viewers.

If media was banned from making a profit, the world would be a different place. But it never will be, and we're stuck with the horror show we currently reside.

I too enjoyed watching Trump and Republicans blow up every norm and rule and repeatedly violate the Hatch Act, because they're the party of "respecting tradition" and they respected it by blowing every one of those traditions to smithereens.

Umm no, State of Fear was a horrible book on soo many levels.

I miss the early aughts. When hugely successful, and soft conservative authors like Crichton and Clancy thought that Eco-Terrorists were the next big threat...

Seems like for all the of RNC's fear mongering they were peddling it hasn't shifted the polls at all.

Trump is still hovering around 41-42% and Biden 50-51%. At least for the DNC, Biden received a temporary 2% boost, Trump's RNC 0%.

I keep wondering what would happen if someone even remotely competent was in the White House - a Cheney or Bush1, and tried to get away with all of these felonious shenanigans. I mean, both did, but exponentially less that Trump and his Crime Family have done. Is it because Trump is so brazenly stupid and obviously with his grifting that he can retain such [relative] popularity? Is there some threshold of competence that once met, immediately starts losing you ignorant voters? The insanity of this entire situation is just beyond me. We aren't even arguing about the veracity of policy positions - we're literally arguing about facts and reality, with no exaggeration or embellishment.

Crazy that Trump still has that kind of approval rating. He is almost certainly at a 1932 time-line Hitler. And people just ignore all reality and fall in like the good Germans they are.
