    Great poll here.

New Reuters/Ipsos poll, all taken after the announcement that Trump tested positive, finds no sympathy bounce. Biden leads by 10 nationally, 51-41.

"little indication of an outpouring of support for the president beyond Trump’s core group of followers"

I still think there's a huge underestimation of shy voters that desperately want the asshole out of the Whitehouse.

"The biggest declines for Trump in the poll come from seniors (who are now backing Biden by a 62 percent-to-35 percent margin) and suburban women (58 percent to 33 percent)."

Also, anyone watch the Lindsey Graham get demolished by Harrison in their debate last night?
Graham looked liked a lost child.

Seniors? Backing Biden 62 to 35? That's........well, that can't be right.

I doubt the final tally will be this lopsided, but yeah, Trump probably lost a decent chunk of the senior vote with his COVID related shenanigans. Which is good news for Biden given that seniors vote in droves, and are an important demographic in most battleground States.

Trump is losing ground. It had to go from somewhere.

Deep red resident in a battleground state here. Seniors are mostly fucking terrified of covid. They know where the blame belongs. People can cry about the liberals fault all they want but seniors in my state know that Trump let it in and when our Democrat Governor tried to control the outbreak and restrict travel / mandate masks, our GOP controlled legislature and supreme court pushed back. Now we're a state that things are getting BAD.

You mean actively trying to kill your voters isn't a good pitch

They should be terrified. A pandemic is no joke and has already claimed more American lives in half a year than any war the country waged save WWII and the Civil War, and the virus has them in its sights as well.

It's still sad that things reached such a point regardless of what political gains can be made from it. If one thing should be a non-partisan issue it's crisis response, but Trump and his ilk have made even wearing a simple mask a battle to the death for whatever stupid reason. Good to see that seniors recognize this and might turn again him somewhat, they're often the most important voter bloc when push comes to shove.

Worth noting that both the Civil War and WWII were considerably longer then 7 months long...

Covid is handily beating both of them when you match time frames, at least if you are only counting Americans (Global Casualties for WWII were WAY higher, even more then global COVID deaths).

Oh, indeed, I should have clarified I meant over the entire course of these wars, not just 7 months of them.

I do think the Spanish Flu has all of these wars beaten quite handily still when it comes to deaths/day. Which makes it weird to me that it's not more present in media, literature and history when taking its massive death toll into account over the course of about two years. Perhaps it'll get more attention now that the modern world has had its own dose of a global pandemic.

Graham has always looked like a lost child since he sold his soul to the MAGAts. He comes out in 2015-16 saying Trump is a racist and a bigot, and now he is doing his fucking bidding.

And not even subtlely. Graham has been carrying Trump's water since the election, after (as you pointed out) debasing him during the primaries. Of all the people working for the Party of Trump, Graham is one of my top 5 whom I think they are outright blackmailing.

Same with Ted Cruz after he lost the Primary. Everyone saw how he looked doing the phones to get Trump elected in 2016.

Ouch. Biden's eating into Trump's base.

Or more, Republicans repeatedly advocating for old people to fuck off and die ate into Trump's base.

Biden says he will be at debate (apologies to all for linking Faux News, but this seemed to be something even they can't fuck up or lie about)

Interesting narration here, Biden saying he hopes Trump will be medically available to attend the debate. Also, isn't there some kind of 14 day quarantine requirement until there are two COVID-19 negative tests?

Couldn't we all be arguing that Trump shouldn't show to the debate? And if Biden does...that would be a nice event.

CDC reduced it to 10 days and no negative test required if they show no symptoms.

Unles they went back on that recently.

Interesting...there was a lot of talk about "silent Trump" supporters. I'm wondering if the reverse is also true...Boomers who are fed up with Trump lies and constant attempts to take their money and health away.

Interesting - and it's the 4th right now...and Trump today is receiving steroid treatments because "he's going so well".

Gonna say the October 15 debate ain't happenin'.
