Alliance Write A Race Intro String for your main!

Simple premise: Along with revamping the character creation screen and intros, they're writing new race intro strings. Now just because those are "in early alpha" and "highly subject to change" doesn't mean we can't declare that we can do better! As per the leaks, keep it to two sentences.

I'll get this started: Though the Blood War ravaged their homes, your people stand firm. With or without the Alliance, the savage night elves will destroy all who threaten their forests.

Who's up next? For reference, here's a link to the other thread with some of the very early Horde ones: https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...ewashing-Horde

It seems like it's supposed to be a disembodied third person narration speaking to your character, but that's the spirit!

Darkspear trolls: After being exiled from their Jungle home, your tribe have fought together with the Horde to ensure the prosperity of your people. Using ancient voodoo rituals and their cunning ferocity, the Darkspear now stand tall to reclaim their rightful place in Azeroth.

Orcs: After being tricked by demons, the orcs came to Azeroth as conquerors. Freeing themselves from their influence, they now struggle to keep their warrior impulses in check to protect their new home

Dwarves: Descendants of the mighty Earthen, the stout Dwarves of Azeroth are known for their Strength and affinity for a good brew. With the world in danger, the Dwarves rise once again from their mountain homes to fight the enemy head-on
This world don't give us nothing. It be our lot to suffer... and our duty to fight back.

Under the teachings of the ominous Locus-Walker, Alleria Windrunner became the first mortal to successfully defy the shadows' whispers and ascend to a higher state of existence. Spurred by her example, you and your elusive comrades have embarked on a mission to master the whispers and use the Void in the protection of Azeroth.

The Void. A force of infinite hunger. Its whispers have broken the will of dragons... and lured even the titans' own children into madness. Sages and scholars fear the Void. But we understand a truth they do not. That the Void is a power to be harnessed... to be bent by a will strong enough to command it. The Void has shaped us... changed us. But you will become its master. Wield the shadows as a weapon to save our world... and defend the Alliance!

You are from one of the mightiest empires on the planet azeroth. The someone blew up your ships and killed your king who decided too gift himself and all of his descendants to the god of death. Because it fits you decide to follow another death lady who wants to kill everyone and follow her into the afterlife too... kill her? Anyway you are a zandalari and will stand with your bretheren in the horde to safe them from something. Or kill some elves for the sake of it. Whatever you do always be moraly grey if someone asks.

After being the expansion villain for like a few months, the now Mag'har orcs switched sides and fought off the invading demons. Due to time shenanigans it's been 30 years later in Draenor but only a few years in Azeroth, so the crimes of your parents are forgiven. You'll journey in this world where you will not use anything that we brought over like trains.. gronns.. cool buildings.. Oh, and your leader is a literal-who grunt, Lok'tar!

Huge potential. Magical potential, physical potential, sexual potential, asexual potential. Do you want to feel a better version of yourself? Choose human potential.

As one of the undead Death Knights, you have been reanimated by dark magic. Though shunned by the living, you tirelessly strive to protect them.

Orcs: Coming to Azeroth as conquerors, the Orcs have built a new home for themselves and rebuilt the Horde. Be it through their shamanic tradition or their warrior instincts, the orcs will fight to secure their home on their adopted world.

Forsaken: As one of the undead Forsaken, you have been reanimated by dark magic. Though suspected by the living for your nature and your people's actions, you work to find your own new purpose under the aegis of the Horde.

Highmountain Tauren: Created by a graphic designer who liked mooses, nothing distinguishes you from a regular tauren. A total waste of an allied race slot, you are urged to roll tank to justify your existence.

Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.

Tinkers will be the next Class confirmed.

Hubris and pride led the once dominant Troll empires to a fate of ruin and stagnation. Broken free from the shackles of their past, the ferocious Darkspear Tribe set out to guard the destiny of their people and all of Azeroth by fighting from the shadows of the Horde.

As a beautiful and highly desired Elf, you work to help the unwashed races of the Horde (except you Nightborne wink). Also, you get harassed daily by sad nobodies that want to be you, but can’t. It’s so hard being popular.

Forsaken: Its time for some heart-throbbing adventure. Keep your hat on, don't forget your fishing pole and let it rip.

The people seriously answering this seriously have such dark and brutal descriptions... is that really your mindset on this franchise? Is that what gives you the kicks about the characters you play?

Once you were citizen of Lordaeron, but then you died and were reanimated by dark magic. But then you were freed and lived as a forsaken for a while, only to die and be reanimated by dark magic again. Then as a death knight you were freed and went back to the forsaken unlife for a while, until finally confronting the Lich King, where you died, but were reanimated again. If any of your brain is still intact after all that, it's probably tirelessly striving to protect the living.

Human: While you became Kingslayer by defeating The Lich King himself, and looting his pants, and then entered every 5-man dungeon flaunting such title so people would go "oh cool, a Kingslayer!", your true test lies ahead. Despite not having new allies in Necromancers by your side as you had originally thought and hoped, because really, who launches a new expansion without a new class? Regardless, you must storm the Shadowlands and murder the traitorous bitch, Sylvanas, and destroy The Jailer to restore the natural order between life and death.

Forsaken: Though the object of your pro-longed, anguished, and unnatural existence has been now long dead since Prince Arthas was slain, and your quest for revenge was fulfilled, you continue to drag on your rotting carcass in a world you do not belong in, and have no place in. The only meaningful thing you can still do is be a meat shield to The Horde in the war against Sylvanas Windrunner, and The Jailer, where you will hopefully fall honorably in battle, and remain in the Shadowlands where you belong. Though for game play reasons, we know that won't happen, but hey, at least you get options to hide your bones now, but still can't be a Necromancer.

Mechagnome: We all wish this was the sethrak instead of this. You are a disappointment

    JK JK

    For real tho:

Night elves: "Thousands of years ago your people took a vow to live in harmony and protect the lands of Azeroth. Despite sustaining many losses throughout the years and the destruction of your homeland the resolve to uphold that vow remains unchanged "

    IDK its probably cringey :P
