Yep, considering how much bullshit it has gone through to still be biting Flynn in the ass. I mean, his lawyer will be lucky to not be disbarred after this case.

I don't know if you were able to listen to much of it today, but I am so completely drained from listening to the gaslighting and fuckery from our own DoJ and the batshittery from Powell I need a transfusion. Gleeson is brilliant and fearless, though, and Sullivan sees right through them, so there's that.

I swear to god she was going to say "attorney client privilege" before she caught herself and said the equally telling and laughable "executive privilege." Then Sullivan's, "You don't work for the administration...."
Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect. There is nothing more or else to it, and there never has been, in any place or time. --Frank Wilhoit

Yeah, it is fucking hilarious that she thinks that she has executive privilege. But then again, other people have also tried to claim that that don't work for the administration too.

Plus, she kind of *does* work for the administration.

Well, if she works for the administration and Flynn, that is a conflict of interest and she should be removed as his lawyer.

That was more a "doing the president's bidding" jab than a literal claim.

Even at the time it was a stupid title - which is why it was changed - but it's just getting funnier and funnier.

    THIS SHIT AIN'T OVER YET!

DOJ is having to answer for some mistakes in their evidence submission. Speficially a sticky note they added to some of the documents that was "inadvertently" scanned and dramatically altered the interpretation of the document.

Timeline still isn't favorable for Flynn and the Trump DOJ, the meeting took place Jan 5 and their constant attempts to imply otherwise are failing.

Man, I get that you can't realistically defend a guy who's guilty as fuck and has plead guilty in court but like...this is just fucking sad.

People forget that we had 2 threads celebrating Flynn... This one was better:

Charges have been formally dropped since Trump Pardoned Flynn. This was completely expected after Trump let yet another of his Goons off the hook from multiple felonies committed to help the Grifter of Politics scheme his way to millions.

If I were the NYAG I would immediately file unrelated state charges against Flynn. Get the case in the works to solidify that state laws are not Pardonable.

What would NY's ag have to do with anything? AFAIK, he didn't commit any NY state crimes in NY.

We don't know the full picture of Mueller's investigation. I will be the first to admit that it might not be NY, and there might not be any unrelated state charges, but if there are, they should file them asap.

And Mueller was absolutely brilliant, and a master of the patient long game, so he and his team must have foreseen at least the possibility that Trump would Pardon Flynn, and perhaps they left some items for the state to prosecute.

But again, entirely conjecture on my part.

They had that Turkey angle with his associate, but apparently without Flynn's cooperation it was too weak.
