The Troll Race Thread

Hello again

Just thought I'd make a thread for the troll race. I've noticed that while elves get a lot of attention, trolls don't.
This thread is for all things troll related, but you can talk about the Loa too if you'd like. Also, feel free to post some concept art of any customization ideas you have for this race too. Just keep the pictures small-ish

And try not to let any anti-troll posts bother you

I appreciate and support the initiative.

Besides, Trolls were building empires long before any Elf showed up. (Although some of them can be blamed for that!)

And they're a nicely '100% organic' Azeroth race. Not many of those!

I've never been a big fan of Darkspears and Jungle Trolls in general and despite Zandalari being very cool can we also have Forest Trolls so I can make a Zul'jin like character?

After all these years he is still the most iconic troll despite being thrown out of the story ages ago, no wonder HotS used him as the only Troll character in what was supposed to be the Blizzard All-Stars game.

There is this artist who has created fan-made "race armor" for each playable race. Really good stuff. Here is the one for ZTrolls.





The reason I post this is because I think these sets look infinitely better than the current ZTroll Heritage Armor or the regular "themed" sets of gear you find for ZTroll questing in Zandalar.

More evidence that all races (not just Orcs) should get straight-back posture options. Looks amazing!

I've always really liked Warcrafts Trolls. My only regret about not playing BfA is i didn't get to see the new Troll stuff.

And the fact that they still don't have beards is a crime.

Handclaw is an amazing artist when it comes to armor concept. Since Zandalari can be DKs now, I wonder if he'll update this and add an armor set for them?

Oh and the Priest one has animated Loa images that are supposed to appear beside the shoulders

"Mega thread". Yikes. This will never be anywhere near the size of elf threads. Trolls are a minority racez even most of people who "like them" don't play them (me being one of those).

But let's see where this ends up.

I'd say they should add some form to distinguish, which loa a troll worships, like tattoos or special jewelry etc.

I would go one step further too, and add certain apperance alterations based on loa, but maybe that should be for Zandalari.

WEll, maybe the different troll tribes focus on different loa, and since we can get customisaitions for others beyond the darkspear, maybe a loa appearance feature would be limited to the troll sub-race, but they can have loa tattoos on any of them.

I definitely think female trolls need more hairstyles that aren't mohawks or shaved, and I can agree on having longer hairstyles too

I edited a Zandalari model in Blender using some assets from wow.export/WoW model viewer. I was trying to go for a Bwonsamdi-worshipper look with the tattoos and face. This matches my 'image' of what I think Ahmanet would look like if she were a unique NPC in WoW, or how I picture her in my head

I'd also like to see ear shapes. If only so I can get rid of these annoying pieces of floppy cardboard that trolls have now.
