    Angry 7 + 6 = 13 = January 2021

In just under a day we go from:
"You have our commitment, we will be releasing Shadowlands this fall."
    to

Buy this mount for the next 6 months of content drought.
6 months sub now brings us well into January 2021. After this announcement it seems unlikely we're getting Shadowlands this fall.

Edit: August 28. I was wrong. It is being released in 2020. I apologise.

Blizz has declared a fall release date, that means the absolute latest they can release it is December 21.

They said the same about TBC as well, then delayed it until early the next year.

Anyway, plenty of people believe it will be #SL2021 - they have the perfect excuse as well with Covid19, so if they are at all struggling with releasing by their planned date, they can easily just say "oh, we need to ensure the BEST product is released bla bla bla corporate lies bla bla because of COVID bla bla" and then still release the same broken version anyway.

They also said on stream that the first tier of raids would include exciting and dynamic traits that would change the way we play, and not to worry about the ones shown in beta, they were just placeholders.

What will happen if they dont? Nothing, thats what. A handful of nerds on the internet saying they will go #RightToJail really wont matter.

a 6 month subscription with a free mount caked into it in no way is tied to the release date of a game. its simply an incentive to stay subscribed for now.

Did people so quickly forget that Blizzard missed the Warcraft reforged deadline by a mile? And when it came out it was like half done?

  14. #14
I mean it can always be delayed, but like, their last 6 month mount was middle january, those people who subbed for 6 months in january subs are lapsing, so, it's twice a year incentive to keep people subbed and has nothing to do with shadowlands release date.

What'll happen is that blizz's stock will take a huge hit, if a game company misses a promised release date they can very well go out of business. The gaming industry is a LOT more cutthroat with release dates and the like now than it was back when BC was released.

They need to release it before holiday 2020. Wow is competing with new consoles so it the expansion needs to be out soon.

Nothing will happen, their stocks will be fine, this is ONE game in the portfolio of one of the bigger companies in the industry, and not even their main product, not even close. Nothing will happen, since most people will have pre-ordered by then anyway.

What on earth makes you think a product that is only available on PC is competing with the launch of a console?

Literally every single game that was meant to come out this year got delayed, because of Covid and other factors, and nobody even batted an eye. Going out of business is highly unlikely especially for a company the size of Blizzard.

No, didnt you hear? CDPR have gone out of business because they delayed CP2077 twice - its cutthroat out there now, so its GG for CDPR. So sad.
