Corruption (spell) in Shadowlands

If they make it generate 0.8 shards over full duration it would be awesome for pve and pvp

Corruption does not give shard fragments though, nor does it gain benefits from talents like incinerate does.
so no, it wont be used at all.

The only talent benefiting Incinerate is Roaring Blaze, the additional charge of Backdraft coming from Flashover is not enough to completly prevent you from using Corruption and Reverse Entropy is actually better for Corruption than Incinerate.

As I said, Corruption doesn't generate the minor amount of Soul Shards but deals slightly more damage => If there is a difference, it's close to zero (0.3 - 0.5% DPS for one or the other).
