I think it was an MS-DOS game where you had to drop depth charges onto submarines.
And if you aimed the depth charge perfectly so it hit the subs periscope it did a little FW00P.

Payuta and the Ice God was the first game ever launched on the PC my dad brought home in 1997.

It was an arcade game, in the former Soviet Union! Don't remember the name, maybe "submarine"? You had to shoot torpedoes at moving ships, so the trick was to anticipate the ship's position when the torpedo will reach it.

Not the first, but the first I remember playing on my computer was Commando (Capcom - 1985) on a Spectrum ZX, loading from cassette player. You could say I am an old gamer...

Command and Conquer Red Alert. Played it on my dads computer whenever I went to see him when I was young. Fell in love with RTS games since.

What was your very first video game?

If we are talking games in general , it would be King of Fighters, an old arcade fighting game from SNK. Now, if it is just PC games, it would be Lands of Lore, an old school RPG from the almighty Westwood Studios

First I played probably would have been a version of Pong on some very old system that wasn't an atari.

First I owned was Pole Position/Pacman on the Atari 5200.

First PC game played was probably Oregon Trail.
First PC game I owned was Populous.

First MMO was StarWars Galaxies.

Blues Brothers , I was playing that on my dad's computer I believe it was a 386 (?) back in 1991. He had bought that for printing receipts. Here's the game
