Dad-Worked in the Department of Aging.

Both studied law, met in college.

Both worked for the Foreign Service specialized in eastern and south eastern Europe from the mid 80s to the mid 2010's. Have worked through the whole late Cold War, to post revolutionary period into the NATO and EU integration era.

Let's just say nobody in his right mind could have ever imagined the changes they witnessed from the beginning to the end of their careers.

I also had an interesting childhood as by the age of 18 I held a British passport and have spent more time outside the US than in the US.

Privileged as in their parents didn't have to work up to and through the age of 65. Nothing wrong with being privileged, its how you conduct yourself that can make it a dirty word.

Long haul trucker, bus tour driver and car carrier transport.

Insurance company manager and construction office manager and bookkeeper.

Dad: Dock Manager for Honeywell, basically just shipping and receiving.

Dad: Patent Illustrator, then mainframe programmer, then technical writer (all for the same company).

My father worked with the Government, doing deals between countries such as acquiring Mig-29s back in the day from Russia for the military. Still got the Bubblegram gift of a Mig-29 in a glass block from the 80s;



Later on became a finance consultant of a bank. Long retired now since '96, getting into real estate renting out properties in numerous countries.

My mother was a housewife and a teacher.
