I'm very happy that I finally managed to reach 5 million gold and get my longboy mount today. I'm back to 0 gold again, but I feel it's worth it as I spend a lot of time on the AH with my main and alts. Plus it's a big, great looking mount. Do you have yours already? Still trying to get it? You won't be able to buy it when the pre-patch comes. It will after that move over to the black market AH, where it will definitely cost more than 5 million. Sell everything you have. Hand in emissary quests. Clear old raids and sell all the loot. Do world quests from Legion and BFA with pvp mode on. If you're desperate, sell tokens. Good luck.

Idk how anyone even gets to a million gold. Most gold I’ve earned myself was 30K or something. Professions are just too boring for me

Yeah, i just baught a boost for it back at start of August. There was simply no other way to get it with that little time left, and i would never ever myself in a million years grind 5 million Gold.

So i've had it since i baught the boost for it and i am very satisfied over that.

Nope. Gold isn't the issue as much as aesthetics are. If I'm going to be dropping that much gold on a mount I need it to be something I could happily use while questing & out in the world. The Legion Spider is pleasant to run around on, so getting that ASAP was a no brainer, but the functionality of the Brutosaur isn't something I need when half my raid team has it & I have the Garrison AH anyway.

It's a cool mount, and I appreciate the functionality, but for 5m, I want a daily driver. God I sound like a car reviewer.

Initially I was hyper focused on getting the gold to buy the brutosaur, but apparently I can't be arsed to stay focused on the actual work needed to make that much money in the game.

I petered out at just over 3mil, and honestly about half of that was from garrisons (which would have been a lot more if I hadn't stopped playing for a while and only played WoD for about half a year or so - I actually made almost a mil more with my garrisons but spent it on tokens to transfer characters).

Ultimately I decided that working for the gold wasn't enough fun for me, so alas no longboi for me.

You have emissaries for 2k every now and then, then you have paragon boxes rewarding 4k.

I thought about it, and FOMO nearly got me. But when I realized it would be equal to $700+ a moment of clarity set in and I was like, nahh. Not going to spend THAT much on any single video game related purchase.

i just did it with old raid farming and mog farming im currently WAY over what i need, unless you got 4 toons that can solo mop and wod ur out of luck at this point

Anyone spending roughly $500 of bnet credit worth of gold for this, who isn't omega rich, really needs to stand back and rethink some things.

Usually I am not one of those "consider how much real money it is", but just for comparison: Buying all 17 shop mounts at the full, undiscounted price currently equals ~4.7 million gold in the US (~5.5 EU).

Sure. Basically i went on a website [Redacted because i ain't that stupid ofcourse) and checked if the mount was up for sale for irl money. It was, for a boost.

So i baught that boost.
