At the end of the day, Blizzard finally realized that these "multiboxers" didn't spent a dime of real money on their account but they've been paying with botted gold. Good riddance Blizzard.
Oh thank god. I'm so sick of seeing 20 balance druids in every zone aoe'ing the crap out of everything for hours on end. It actually really impacts questing as the respawn rate is ridiculously increased and you can't get out of combat without leaving the area.
Meanwhile people whining about bots... chirp....chirp....chirp
People are just mad that someone else just slightly impact their gameplay, another player getting your herb node? Nobody has whined about that.
Someone farming herb nodes? no whining. Someone using game mechanics for a slight advantage OH BOY THE RAGE THE TRIGGERS THE BUTMAD PEOPLE
Do people not understand that multiboxers bring down the prices of herbs so you noobs can raid while only having to buy one token per week for your flasks instead of 3?
This is a major boon to the multiboxers who can work around it, because of the reduced competition. According to the post (I havent read the updated eula/rules themselves), you can't make use of keystroke broadcasting software, but there's nothing about broadcasting a single keyboard to multiple computers through hardware. Or broadcasting a single keyboard to multiple VMs, be it through hardware or software. So, if you're a whale who enjoys crushing the auction house, Shadowlands is going to be your oyster.
Honestly people are only looking at the positive. IE someone not stealing their node and less PvP nukeage. Which I agree with something should've been done about being nuked by 10+ accounts in one hit.
However, people aren't seeing the negative repercussions this will have. 1) Economy prices will increase due to less supply. 2) Blizzard will lose money from subs + the extra $5 from WoW tokens. Investors/Board members will want this money back in some way. This gives Blizzard an excuse to increase sub prices and claim inflation. Perhaps more store mounts, etc. There are way more negative than positive, but because someone only sees what they want to see they'll think it is good.
Great news. Blizzard must know why people are multiboxing. If Blizzard knows who is multiboxing, why not ban them all since %99 of multiboxers gold sellers for real money! No need to send warnings, just ban them all since multiboxing was founded on the idea of earning real money by selling gold. Kill those cockroaches Blizzard!
Probably a pretty good sign that the multiboxers were enough of a minority to not matter in the grand scheme of things, whereas the people negatively affected and angry about the multiboxer's impacts, do.
If it would literally have cost them profit growth, They.Wouldn't.Have.Done.It... Sad but true.

Great change. This will have a great impact for normal gamers at the expense of a tiny minority taking advantage of game mechanics.
As a multiboxer I'm happy about this, now I can play one account again and make some gold without all the headache from ISboxer.
Bit sad about not being able to farm world bosses anymore, not gonna lie.
So you're saying that people without multiboxxing/botting can now make gold from gathering professions? Which then allows the average person to have more gold in the first place? Awesome!

Every multiboxxer I've talked to in the past few years doesn't even pay money for their sub, since they can just pay the sub through WoW token.
Because it got to levels where people could multibox 20 characters.
2? Sure. 3? Why not. 5? Mhm, ok... But when it's 10, 15 and 20 and beyond as comps grow more powerful, it becomes downright disruptive.
I for one am glad that gathering professions might become lucrative again, without needing 9-19 more accounts.
