Long live Stacey Abrams. Happy to say I had completely misread her as a politician. Instead of sitting back and whining about how corrupt and slimy GA Republicans are she mobilized voters in a deep red state and helped flip it blue in November and in the run off to give Dems the majority in the Senate. What an absolute legend.

Yeah, the Pence tweets are certainly interesting. He's essentially trying to put as much pressure as he can on Pence, who he can then blame (and have the base attack) as the reason Trump loses this entire thing.

Yeah, Trump is basically pinning him between a wall and a boulder, and you love to see it.

Pence is usually such an absolute nothing in every situation, though. I feel like after today he'll vanish like a fart in the wind until 2022 or 2024, depending on what office he tries to worm his way into next. You'd have to imagine he knows he has no shot at the presidency, but I somehow doubt that'll stop him from just being there blending into the background of the primaries.

Objections are just objections, what they're doing is purely performative. The resulting deliberations will be meaningless since a majority vote in both House and Senate is required to reject the votes.

It's just going to drag out the counting process by at most an extra twelve hours or so.

Pence also has no authority, fwiw, the role of the VP is only to preside over the count, which is why it's so fucking hilarious to see Trump setting him up to fall.
