Ret paladin CS is impy and underwhelming

Is there a way to beef it up somehow via conduits or ?
It really turns me off from playing ret

What do you mean..it's like a 2 second cooldown builder in your builder spender playstyle. It has to be wimpy when its the most spammed ability you have.

I get its a builder but hits for the same as an auto-attack and visually the character does this big move and ..nothing

It's practically an auto-attack that generates holy power, as opposed to the usual auto-attack.

Other differences include:
- it triggers more procs than auto-hits. ("on spell cast")
- it has 2 designated talents (fires of justice, empyrian power)
- it can currently be beeded up via azerite powers

If this is what turms you off Ret, maybe you should play something else.

CS is not the coolest part of Ret, but every spec has a filler ability that is lackluster. That is what they are.

A style attack should do atleast the same damage as whitehits.

Why? It's not what the class has been about for over half a decade (and by the end of Shadowlands, almost a decade). CS's main purpose is to build holy power, with the damage component being secondary. Our spenders are the main damage source.

And who can still pay attention to the individual number number explosion that happens anyway? You need to open logs and pick out CS specifically to even see its damage these day.
