10.0 will be early forth quarter 2022. Expansion release in Feb 2023. That would align with their 6 month season 3 and 4 plan. As long as they start the alpha this month they're not behind schedule & it seems like they want to pull a Nintendo & launch the alpha with the announcement: That gimmick is the only reason they waited this long to do the announcement.

Smart thinking. Most people can't disassociate 10.0 and the actual expansion release.

In the Irish mythology, Balor is the king of the Fomorians, a group of creatures describe as hideous (sometimes demonic) giants, warriors of chaos and destruction.

Now, we have yet to have an Ireland-inspired zone in the game (Kul'Tiras doesn't dive too much into the Celtic aspect of the Irish culture), and Blizzard has a history of copy-pasting real life mythology into the game, twisting it only a little.

Uhh... does Ardenweald count? It's mildly Celtic inspired.

Expansions take priority over patch tiers. Shadowlands screams "catchup." And Shareholders wouldn't want them to be behind a year forever.

9.2 didn't have a particularly long dev time. There's nothing in the book that actually needed to come out the same week as Judgement, like we expected, Golden was literally just struggling to make sense of the nonsensical plot.

unless by some magical situation 10.0 has not been affected in any way by anything that has led to the delays we have seen in SL since development and they are holding back testing on purpose then you cant deny it has actually been delayed

nobody who manages to dress themselves can think that 10.0 is the SINGLE GAME not delayed

I have never thought about Demon Hunters getting another spec, but after seeing this HS photo, I guess ranged fel arrow shooting would be cool.

That's what we guessed, but the Sylvanas novel came out & didn't spoil anything. It was all just her rationalization for her actions. It could have come out months ago, if it had been finished, but it wasn't. WoW development had nothing to do with it.

It spoiled her fate at the end, so, no. It kinda had to accompany the Epilogue.

No it doesn't. The events of Judegment don't appear in the Sylvanas book. Tyrande doesn't even appear.

Perhaps. But that doesn't affect my point: 9.0 was delayed by covid. 10.0 *might* also be delayed by covid, but so far we're not radically behind schedule. August 2023 is a ridiculous estimation.
