Honestly I don't follow the other Dracthyr threads on the forums so I am not sure what's being argued and by who. I don't even follow the majority of the back and forth in this thread on the topic.

I understand people not wanting to mess with the design of the form being gender neutral since that's they way ordinary dragons are depicted. However I imagine that technical limitations aside, there's a great degree of variance within dragons sizes and shapes irrespective of their sex. I just think the player models should reflect that a bit because that's actually one of the cool aspects of dragons and what sets them apart. If that helps people achieve whatever personal class / race fantasy they have then that's great too.

That’s a fair take. There have been a few constructive posts and threads, but by and large, the bulk of the negative response has been insecure and dismissive.

Not really, its just an overused phrase over something they don't like.

Unfortunately, that's just how I feel about the model- the reason why I don't like it.

At least I'm sincere when I say the design just bores me? It's forgettable in a sea of a billion indistinguishable anthro dragons on a furry site. The weak silhouette is a huge part of it.

Edit: now that I think about it, I wonder if the fancy rigging right down to the toes is part of why that can't be any other class. The reused class animations designed on the human models might be a huge pain in the ass to apply to them.

Last chapter of Sylvanas book spoils 9.2, so yeah it had to be delayed untill the patch was out and the story campaign was done.

Yes because the last chapter spoils 9.2 as it happens AFTER Sylvanas had jumped into the Maw to save all souls from it.

So the book had to come out AFTER 9.2 story content was released.

While i'm certain the shortage affected some of the the book delays, the book spoils the 9.2 ending and epilogue.


It was absolutely shoved back to line up with 9.2s content schedule.

So looks like plan was to release 9.2 last November, then reveal DF on Blizzconline and launch November this year. Now it's not surprising that first 9.2 PTR build had almost completed zone. Probably plan went to hell around summer for obvious reason, which also cause them to put extra focus on 9.1.5 changes.

I believe them when Ion/Morgan said they planned two patches/3 raids before launch (it was already deep into covid), but I don't think it was plan when they revealed expansion. Empty spot on Oribos top floor and Torghast are clear signs.

Should of sticked to the MoP model but I understand the last two years have been pretty messy world wide.

There's a lot of mammals that still have a male & female but aren't dimorphic by sex. And reptiles even moreso. That's the whole conversation here. Dragons specifically in WoW, you can't tell the males from the females by looking at their dragon form.

To be fair, if you had a reptile in humanoid form, it would have to have abs so it can stay upright.

are you saying that covid effected the game development and led to delays even after launch?? careful because that kind of sound logic can lead to screeching around here

i imagine the original plan with DF was easily november this year but with the prequel novel coming out november im assuming january release based on the bfa novel time gap
