2016 Bernie Sanders correctly pointed out its a Koch Brothers plan, but yes, the absorption of downwardly mobile PMC's hoping for cheap maids and servants have made changes on the poor man.
You mean the ones he said he wouldn't sign?

You're angry that the Democrats are doing more than Trump ever wanted to do? Man, you really suck at this.

I’m so happy I’ve got every Trump supporter on ignore. Never have to read their bullshit. Exercising my first amendment rights and all that.

They have been spreading conspiracy theories about covid, then bitch that they didn’t get another COVID stimulus? Maybe they shouldn’t have claimed it was a hoax and demanded republicans vote on a stimulus... before Trump ordered then to...

Bernie also believes that hard-working immigrants should have an opportunity (illegal or not). Something you oppose. Also he's still woke as fuck.

America had 4% employment while people were working two jobs and with 10 million illegals gainfully employed on top of that. I don't think immigrant competition is the problem here.

So... democrats are negotiating with democrats... not because of republicans... but, because of the idea of republicans.

What can democrats do, to get the same protection as republicans? How can democrats convince you, that republicans are the ones opposing the stimulus, because of the idea that every democrats is a communist?

Edit: Better yet... what did republicans do, to earn such leeway?

Is it not possible to be both happy that the effort is more than Trump (a low bar) but critical that it is still not enough?

Yes - where have you been the last 12 years? Also have you ever heard of Joe Manchin? The Dems will negotiate themselves out of their starting position because they fear being called "socialists" by right-wing media (Which will call them socialists no matter what).

Neither of my questions can be answered with a ‘yes’... As I said above, that would mean democrats would be arguing against Manchin, for the stimulus... Again, placing democrats on the opposite side of your assertion.

Considering she's straight fucking lying, that's her issue. This has been pointed out, with evidence, on numerous occasions.

I'd like to see something like this, too. Small businesses got those loans...um...in theory, but a lot of them really need help.

Those PPE loans is why I was furloughed, instead of laid off... back at work for several months now...

Explain how the ethno-nationalist is lying?

    That has already been done.

I'm not really sure what you guys are arguing. At the end of the day, the $1,400 check as an opening proposal by Biden indicates either:

    1. A lack of commitment to responding to this crisis in a way that actually helps people
    2. Commitment, but some sort of hesitation because they think that proposing more will get shot down in some way.

The check being $1,400 and not $2,000 should already be a sign in and of itself that Dems will negotiate themselves down from a previous position, despite the fact that they now (or will) control all the levers of power.

It's not a great look, I won't deny that. They shoulda just come out with the $2K as promised and not lawyered this shit. I'm not super thrilled with that.

But at the same time, that's one part of what is a much larger stimulus that brings a lot more help to people struggling, including additional funding for unemployment (the bigger problem) and state and local funding to help shore up much needed services.

It's hardly all sunshine and roses, but it's a huge step in the right direction. Especially like, compared to the last year of functionally nothing because Republicans were too busy arguing with each other or sitting around waiting for the deadline to hit so they could "negotiate" in bad faith.

I guess we'll have to see what further help they come up with. I hope this is just an appetizer of many stimulus's and not the main course.

I'm not expecting tons of huge packages either, sadly (not that I need them, or personally want to benefit from them right now. I'm doing alright, its others that need the help). They don't have the numbers in the House/Senate for that, nor the progressive muscle for that as there are still quite a few moderate Democrats in the House and a handful in the Senate that may be pressured by their constituents to "worry about the debt" because thanks to Republicans, they blew it the fuck up for nothing before the pandemic even hit.

But I'm hoping they can figure out a way to do much more targeted packages that hit folks most effected by the pandemic if they can't continue to do the broader packages like this.
