With pieces and other guilds taking some time off I'm thinking World 3rd will take another reset.

Is that if you take the full 11 hours into account?

Because then you could just say dealing with bugs shaved off far more time than 4 minutes. At this point, the win goes to Limit and it looks like Ny'alotha 2.0

Truth is, there will never be a perfect solution. To me, I just don't think it's worth the problems that it will cause for the remainder of wow's community. Keeping the status quo is the best solution. A few days of passionate fan discussion is a fair tradeoff for not disparaging the rest of the community.
They could have entire raid adjust sleep schedule. It's doable, but obviously a disadvantage.
Raiding until 6am for a couple weeks is probably not enjoyable.

Yes you do, for a global reset maintenance has to be moved to the same day and time for every region, which won't happen because Blizzard isn't going to change something that hundreds of thousands of people have had a schedule around for years just to make a couple hundred people max happy. It's just not going to happen.

If you don't change reset day than every region has a different amount of time in the first week that they can raid instead of every region having exactly the same amount of time as they do now, not counting extended maintenance, bugs, etc.

If the world first means that much to Echo they are just going to have to reroll to NA servers for it, the ping isn't going to be an issue. Both of the top guilds have people raiding from the opposite region anyway.

THey won it 16 hours ago when they downed the final boss. Period. First means first. Not fastest.

Does not matter. Limit downed the boss first. The end.

It's not about winning anymore, they're just proving the point that without the difference in starting time it would be 0% vs 0,05% and since we can't go back in time, it could have gone either way then. As a viewer that would have been a lot more fun to watch.

Well, a bit more than 4 minutes. More like an hour or three at the least. Congratulations, Limit.

Except, like - Echo has had a kill vid to watch for proof of concept that Limit didn't have. Echo has advantages now, since Limit's kill, that Limit never had.

No EU maintenance is very rarely anywhere near the same amount of time as NA because any issues with maintenance is found during NAs. NA almost always has extended maintenance on raid release days too. The 16 hours has never fully been 16 in the history of raid releases as well. Too many people still think NA is in there raiding right at raid resets.

Adjusting for time is always problematic because NA has longer maintenance and NA is normally the region to hit bugged bosses first(Sludgefist, Generals). But that never gets accounted for.

  18. #2178
NA servers came up 5 hours late last tuesday, so the advantage was never 16 hours in this particular raid. Not sure why ppl are "congratulating" limit now

  19. #2179
Maintenance was extended 6-5hrs this tier, so it wasn't 16hr head start anyways.

That's why I said it doesn't matter. They had a 2% wipe yesterday though iirc. We can't go back in time. I just hope Blizzard will start thinking about solutions for the time difference, because the next tier the outcry about the time difference will just get louder. That wont be fun for any of the competing guilds.
