Question about Threads of Fate

I haven't been able to find this anywhere else. If you complete the campaign on one faction to unlock ToF, are you able to use it on the other faction, or on a different server for that matter?

Yes, after you've done with introduction and appear in Oribos you're immediately stunned and offered "The Threads of Fate" quest.

what I wanna know is, if I skip the campaign and go to the endgame, is there no way of doing the main quests in the zones anymore? do they all become inaccessible? but the sidequests stay?

Side quests stay. Campaign (the quests marked with "shield" thingy) are all marked as complete the moment you type in FATE and click accept.
