My best legendary comes from sludgefist. And I definitely do not have the gear to do normal now (ilvl 182) so I feel your pain.

You pretty much do have the gear. Watch the videos and make your own raid.

That argument doesn't make much sense since people will be running two times a week anyways for soul ash. So it isn't a big deal that it is gated or an indicator of the quality. Raiding was gated by 4 weeks does that mean it can't stand on its own as well?

No it is not. You do not in any way need the legendary to complete any content. Pay to win does not mean what you think it does.

ps. You can literally craft everything the legendary needs for free. So it isn't literally tied behind gold either.

Killed him below 180. But yes you need a guild. Most random groups will require at least ilvl 200.

raiding was gated for 2 weeks this time around but that is indeed fucking bullshit aswell. I hate gating in all its forms.

However, torgast being a solo non-char power influencing feature, the gating there doesnt even make sence.. Its gating for the sake of gating..

Torghast as content is great. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I decided this time around to give a go as resto shaman. Best resto shaman legendary comes from Soul forges..hasn't been up since week one. Its kinda garbage thats its random or at least that the legendary is tied behind it.

Bro, it's a fucking quest. It's not (directly) tied to gear or character progression. It's a story quest that Blizzard is drip feeding week-to-week, much like certain parts the War Campaign of BfA and Suramar in Legion before it.

Is really shocking how few people seem to get this. Grinding callings for gold (or almost any other in-game labor) is a very inefficient use of time unless you really enjoy the activity (and if you do, then great, none of this applies).

Even the time spent picking herbs to sell is probably not worth it when you consider that $20 can get you $120k+

The caps are making me just want to cancel my sub until you can get Renown 30 so I can feel like I'm actually playing a progressive video game and not some weird, paid service garbage.

This is the most the game has felt like a paid service ever, that's what the Renown and Conduits and Covenants are reminding me of now, just paid service garbage; you know, taking a pizza (your character) and gating off every single topping from you until arbitrary dates in the future.
Reminds me of the Avengers game that bombed.

If you know what you are doing and/or enjoy it, sure. Financial manipulation is always more profitable than labor. (with the possible exception of Boosting, if you are capable of doing that)

But a lot of people really try to "farm" gold which makes very little sense compared to just easily buying it.

It wouldn't be so easy if it was common. The more tokens enter the market, the further the price drops. And they're already pretty low.

There's also more sense of achievement in actually obtaining stuff yourself, which many prefer.
