PC Building help?

Hopefully I am in the right forums for this, I am new to building a PC, so much so i have no clue what I am doing, I have 2200$(USD) to put towards my PC (this will need to include speakers and 2 monitors) but I don't know where to start and I do not know how to check to see if Part A will work with Part B.

and Ultimately when it comes to buying the parts, should I use amazon or newegg?

any information would be greatly appreciated.
