This loot system has to go.

For the first time ever, I feel like I am playing my toon and not getting powerful every few weeks.

I already know what the responses are going to be to this. I have run every M0 and did multiple keystones and have cleared CN mulitple times on 3 toons.

2 of my toons STILL have 2-3 dungeon blues that I can't seem to replace. I've continued to farm M0's, LFR, etc. The great vault has been a joke.

Blizzard has swung the pendulum too far. With less loot dropping, the horrendous personal loot system for guilds, and no control of gear, my characters have been stuck for weeks. I just can't seem to wrap my head around it.

Apparently Ion recognized this but clearly doesn't have a plan in place to address this. I doubt we get anything until 9.3, which, once again, is too late.

I don't know any game worth playing that doesn't feel rewarding.

With anima items and world quest rewards you really shouldn't be wearing blues anymore, even if you aren't doing PvP.

At least consult a gearing guide before ranting mate. There's no reason to have sub 184 items. You literally get 190 items from honor.

Its absurd to think it won't get solved until 9.3, why else would anyone at Blizz acknowledge it then. The fact they haven't said anything shows they are hiding stuff that we don't know about(Not in a bad way, there is blizzcon online coming up). While I agree loot drops are feeling much less I think your misinformation and exaggeration doesn't help.

This system won't stay. Its one of the most hated things they have done in any wow expansion. People are leaving in droves and blizzard has already acknowledged its fucked. Just wait for next tier and shit should be fixed

Since i was fully able to gear two characters to >184 without doing any PvP or raids(not even LFR) and next to no instances on top of that... no, the OP is just full of fecal matter.

Covenant gear will get you 7 pieces of 197 ilvl gear. Can fill in the missing slots with 197 honor gear. A 190-235 ilvl lego on top of that. World boss for chance at 207 gear. M+2 gets u a 200 ilvl gear in your vault.

If you arent 200 ilvl after 2-3 weeks of casual play, you aren't doing it right.

In the context of "this thread seems to be talking about 180-190 ilvl," it seems the PVE parallel to your PVP vendors is the covenant campaign which is pretty much free loot and all any of my alts have needed, and all most players will need before 9.1.

I got 2 items from 3 heroic bosses last night. It does happen. Average is one piece of raid loot per week plus one piece from the vault. Means full 213+ will take at least 8 weeks with upgrades being more redundant towards the end. There will be little downtime betweeen getting geared and next patch. The pace is optimized for sub money. Mythic raiders must be in a similar situation where full 226 will take a while. Pvp can speed this up but is not for everyone. Adding extra rewards has to be done carefully as it shortens the time people have upgrades to work on.

When that 15% chance at loot dropping feels more like 1.5%

I have gotten 3 upgrades from my vault on 3 characters, in the past 7 weeks.....

I'm almost full 226. I dont see the issue. Gear is out there. Go get it.

I'm pretty sure most mythic raiders are pretty close to 226 already, hell I'm 224 and I am only 3/10 mythic. You do need to pvp though, hitting 2.1k rating in anything makes gearing pretty fast

    Nope. No issues getting gear.

I have only done normal CN and I am over 200 ilvl. I was 190 less than a week after dinging 60.

You are either not high renown, or purposely not doing content that gets you gear. Which includes world quests. Most of them are giving ilvl 184 gear right now.

And 197 items from your campaign quests

And they've acknowledged that they can make the experience feel more rewarding. Admitting that something's "fucked" doesn't happen.

That being said, I'm fine with the loot staying as is, or a change.

My alts have actually felt a lot easier to gear than my main did.

Lots of it thanks to renown catch-up and the campaign being out in full.

What they acknowledged also wasn't that there's a lack of gear drops, but that the alternate rewards when no gear drops might be a bit underwhelming.

I'm not seeing them increasing gear rewards any time soon.

No. It's fine as it is. Wow is finally distancing itself from diablo again. It's not a loot lottery simulator.

the fact a pve player needs to do pvp to get gear is just proving that this shit aint working
The fact that you claim that's a fact means something greater. You do NOT need to do pvp to "get gear" as you really won't even get that much from pvp much less most pve players are trash at pvp and vice versa. This lie about needing to do pvp to gear for pve needs to just stop. Sure you can supplement, but the honor gear is way too much of a time investment when you get better gear from doing the campaign and world quests. Once you're at raid level from outside of the raid, you need to have a high rating in pvp and the honor investment which you might as well just be doing m+ much less once you hit conq cap you can only get about 5 items on average depending on what item you choose.
