    Classic TBC - Release date?

Wasn't a part of the leaks, so let's speculate for another 10 hours.

My guess, if they don't have a specific date and just say "2021" like the press leak it means late in the year.

It could be any month really. My bet would be in the summer.

If the leaks are right, in May.

That seems awfully hopeful. How long was classic beta?

1.12 onwards exists as separate full server binary patchsets. They could deploy any of them happily.

It seems they're going with the same layout as classic with a final patch level being used and phased content deployment (specifically mentioned "phases" in the blizz authored leak).

As for the main thread here, yeah, May seems likely. 3 month beta seems totally reasonable.
I fully expect "beta is live now" to be announced this evening.

It's really not. This wouldn't be the first time Blizzard said "NEW WOW EXPANSION! Beta invites will start going out today" Streamers will get the first, then regular people who aren't free advertising. Then the game releases in May probably around the 20th which would be 3months. Enough time

Right now is the perfect time for them too, everyone is stuck in side and can't go anywhere they have nothing better to do then test their game for them all day.

The sooner the better to be honest. I enjoyed Classic quite a bit for what it is, but TBC brings a wealth of changes that I really look forward to.

Beta available today or tomorrow. Release will be May/June.

Given that Naxx has been out for what, 3 months now? I doubt they'll make us wait longer than June/July. Especially considering that Blizz said they had more thorough backups/data of TBC and that it would be a lot easier to launch, so really all they'll need to do is have a 2-3 month beta.

May seems a bit too optimistic. I'd say it'll release in August.

But yeah as of right now, it can be released any month...

I'm guessing in the lull between 9.1 and 9.2.

And I'm saying 9.1 in April, 9.2 in September.

So I'm gonna say June for BCC launch.
