When you hear a car alarm what do you do?

I usually take a look outside my window. I'm lucky enough to live in a pretty safe neighbourhood surrounded by other safe neighbourhoods and a forest so crime isn't really an issue. If a car alarm goes off, which is rare, it's usually due to a squirrel, storm or tree branch setting it off.
