Two more primetime games with Seattle with potentially no Wilson (I expect SNF to get flexed out with the new rules)

ok that int wasnt on Geno. The WR flat out fell down.
Seahawks defense got off to a horrible start last year but they managed to go 5-0 whereas now they're at 2-3. It seems the giving up 450 yards a game formula isn't working any more.

Thing with Geno playing is it exposed to national media and more casual fans that Russ doesn't trust receivers when covered anymore. This has been a theme since Baldwin retired. He still trusts Lockett a lot, but wont throw to DK unless hes open. Geno was going for DK while covered and he was just making plays. On Ramsey of all people.

Wilson likely gonna miss 6 weeks after his finger surgery today. Yikes for Seattle.

I mean to be fair they were in deep shit with that defense, at least their backup looks quite capable. At least they have the bye week, the Steelers, the Saints, the Jags, the Packers, the Cardinals and WFT. So they are likely going to be 4-7 or 5-6 if they are lucky? If they can be at 5-6 they might have a chance to recover with the extra game and an extra playoff team.

His original comment was idiotic and bad enough, but his "apology" now makes it even worse. He didn't use the term "rubber lips", he said "lips the size of michellin tires", there's a huge difference there.Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden used a racist comment in referring to NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith in an email 10 years ago, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
The email, sent to the president of the Washington Football Team in July 2011 as the NFL and its players were in the midst of trying to resolve a lockout, said Smith had "lips the size of michellin tires," the Journal reported, saying it has reviewed the email.
Gruden, who was employed at the time as the lead analyst for "Monday Night Football," told ESPN he did not recall writing the email but apologized for the fallout.
He said he has routinely used the term "rubber lips" to "refer to a guy I catch as lying ... he can't spit it out."
"I'm ashamed I insulted De Smith," Gruden told ESPN, adding, "I never had a racial thought when I used it. ... I'm embarrassed by what's out there. I certainly never meant for it to sound that bad."

Then claiming he doesn't remember saying it and that he didn't mean anything racist by it. Why would you comment about the size of someone's lips if your only intention is to call them out for being a liar? That makes absolutely no sense. I have no idea who he is trying to fool.

I had no idea how it could even be taken as racist, but everything can be seen as racist if you are actively trying to make it out to be (which the media will for clicks). Saying someone has rubber lips is a saying people use when calling someone a liar. No idea how common it is, but my grandparents use it. Gruden is just a strange dude, so saying size of Michellin tires instead of big rubber lips makes sense coming from him.
