Triggering Garrison invasions?

How exactly do you trigger Garrison invasions? I'm trying to finish up some of the garrison achievements and those are some of the last ones I need to complete for it. I honestly don't remember how they were triggered during WOD but if I remember correctly they were kind of random. Also what is the frequency of when you can trigger them?

I think it's killing the certain mob you wanna trigger the invasion.Think it's like 100 kills or so.

Go to one of the daily quest zones or buy a mission from the vender in your garrison. You don't actually need the quests but they highlight what mobs you need. Then kill hundreds of them.

Invasions were never really intended to be farmed but rather triggered as you played so it takes massive numbers. You can do multiple a day but its gonna take a lot of aoe.

best way to trigger them is do the daily mission you get in your garrison room off the apexsis table where you choose 2 locations to go to.

You can just do one of the dailies or buy one from the garrison vendor and complete it to trigger an invasion now. I did it to finish up an achievement and get the last mount I needed.

Would take your word for it then. I just recall getting the mounts during WoDs content drop and recalling it needed a lot more then one daily zone.

Generally I unlock 1 invasion per 1-2 Missives. It's not really that bad.

Two things to keep in mind -

1: Using the Holiday Guard Outfit will turn your guards from lvl 40 to lvl 50 or 60, allowing you to solo Invasions with ease.

2: If you lack this, you will need at least 1 other player in order to get the max rank of the Invasion for achievements

Ahh that's interesting, I didn't know there was any way to get around that change. Luckily I finished all the garrison invasion stuff back around Legion time.

I’ve never had issues with invasion not triggering off of one of the daily quests from the guy in your town hall. Note, however, that while there is a daily to kill arrakoa, there’s no arrakoa invasion.

I’ve also found that the iron horde invasion, at least on alliance, is bugged out, and many of the invaders will get stuck on walls or up in trees, causing far fewer attackers to spawn and making it very hard to get a high score in.

Horde Garrison: Buy a Scouting Missive for 200 Garrison Resources from Sergeant Grimjaw (right side of the entrance to your main building) and use it. I always took Magnarok because it was the nearest but the others should also work if you need different invasion types for your avs. Then go there, fill the bar go back to the garrison and turn it in to spawn a invasion. Did 150+ of those for the last mount so if they didn't change anything for shadowlands it should still work. At lvl 120 you could just afk because your npcs were strong enough to solo to platinum no clue how they are squished.
Alliance should work the same i just don't know how the npc is called.

They are squished now yes, so you can't just sit on the roof and afk to win. An earlier poster said putting guards in holiday costumes reverts that change.

Buy a missive from Sargeant who-ever outside main Hut, do the quest, hand in, start invasion.
