I expect we may see a tier cut from Shadowlands so they can focus on the next expac by the end of the year.
Inb4 fanboys come with "but covid" excuse, completely ignoring the fact that most of the industry has managed to adapt long time ago. The pandemic didn't start 2 months ago, it started over a year ago now and if Blizzard failed to adapt during such a long time then they are a joke of a company at this point.
Dont allow incompetent management overuse the pandemic excuse. It made sense 6 months ago, it makes absolutely no sense now.
EDIT: Even using covid as an excuse to delays is a spit on people who had to shut down their businesses because they are not in such comfortable position to just continue functioning remote.
WoW players are all trash? M+ leavers? Pug raid fails? You don't have stuff to do? WoW has become a solo player game for you? People don't talk anymore? Everyone's toxic? I have a simple solution, just for you!
Get social. Join a guild.
Everything with Shadowlands has taken longer so far, the usual 2 months PTR testing seems very unlikely at this point and it will be probably release mid july/early august.
Be careful who you chat it up with here on these forums. If you are NOT for WoW and about WoW, people will report whatever you say and get you banned
desperate PR stunt after sources in blizzard confirmed that 9.1 release will be in august
Nah WOD was a train wreck that was so bad they flat out abandoned it. Shadowlands has a good foundation to build on but they can't pump out the content as quick as they have in previous expansion (it's almost like there is some global event that might affect their productivity...).
I would rather than a bit longer between patches and good content than quicker patches that are filled with dross. Unless we want another selfie cam patch?
Also worth noting that TBC had both tiers 4 and 5 at release right? So like 5 raids? Not that many bosses, but still. They had quite a bit of content to get through like the attunement questline plus tiers 4 AND 5. Seems crazy now, like I don't think I even started raiding seriously until Black Temple was already out...
God I hope not. SL is not even remotely interesting enough to be that long. The only reason to stretch and expansion that long is to make room for a complete revamp of the game both in terms of zones and game systems. Granted with the state of the world it might be a good idea, but they just revamped the leveling system, so I doubt they would throw away chromie time after one expansion.
