Not. WASPs are rooted in Anglo-Saxon upper-class, whereas Nazism were more Germanic without class struggles.

Before we go down that road, just a reminder: the officer has been charged with second-degree manslaughter. This is a situation that is not clear-cut, but we will get a ruling on it.

Greene's supposed motion to expel is based on Waters inciting violence.

"How did Greene vote on condeming Trump for doing what's provably worse?"

You know goddam well she's not one of the 10 Republicans who voted "yes".

I keep saying "it's impossible to be a Trump supporter without being a hypocrite". Greene is just speedrunning that shit.
Well when Greene got herself kicked off every committee she was on for her racist and conspiratorial words she has nothing better to do then pull this shit. Remember she was introduced a bill to impeach Biden the day after his inauguration. She was also the one calling for votes on everything just to "own the libs". She is like a bored 10 year old who can't do what she wants so she starts to just break things.

Back then eugenics was a science, not a pseudoscience.

    For christ sake.

While I'm annoyed by mtgreene being her usual moronic self, I'm even more exasperated by the fact that I've got this guy's name confused with like 3 other people killed by the police in the past few weeks . . .

Well... it's not like sacrificial altars were foreign to Greek/Roman temples...

Not really, no. Especially considering the consequences it had on the labor class and on subject populations in the colonies.

As I said before your pointless bickering, what the Anglo-Germanic people did was built upon what was built before. That's how human development works, all the way back to Sumer.

You're aware that the aztecs were only recent arrivals in middle america before the europeans? There were other high cultures around before them, building their own astounding cities, and while they also dabbled in human sacrifices - not in a scale the aztecs did - and given that anglo-saxons stem from germanic tribes (both angles and saxons) - i would not cry too loud about human sacrifices

And true, the aztecs killed a lot of people to appease their gods. At the same time the people in europe (not the church though) were burning a lot of people to appease their god.

    Go figure

Ah look, someone is making light of a culture where their understanding of it mostly comes from Hollywood and other dubious sources. Not to say that ritual human sacrifice didn't happen, but it wasn't nearly as barbaric as the whitewash crowd likes to make it out to be. Especially because you're stanning for Mediterranean cultures that literally just made people fight wild beasts (and each other) to the death for their own entertainment. But enjoying watching human suffering is definitely something a certain sect of Americans also took from Rome, yes.

That’s fantastic... WASP was the Nazi ideal... Did you know that Hitler wasn’t even blond, tall or blue eyed?

Mel Gibson... those are from Apokaliptico... let’s look at how cool, clean and totally not brutal the Romans were depicted by the same “artist”...

Uh oh... who is than nice fella being treated all civilized and all? I wonder if this, very civilized and totally not like sacrifice, fellow was of any importance. I wonder if anyone knows the fantastically civilized life this random bloke had...

People jacking to Rome are like MAGA... I’m guessing they don’t mean the time period when Christians were being executed. They don’t mean Caligula nor Pontius Pilate...

The best part about that picture is that you have a flaming anti-semite on the left and a Q-Anon peddler on the right.

If we play by Fox News or conservative media book... This is where we need to be losing our shit, that someone finds Rome as an ideal... we need to immediately jump to the conclusion that they want the depravity of Caligula and will kill Jesus when he returns.

The question was not "how ethical was their society by modern standards", but "how advanced and developed were they as a culture".

Also, the Aztecs killed a hell of a lot fewer Aztecs than Cortez and his buddies did. If you really want to go there. And ignoring what everyone else already pointed out.

Also, it's a strange position to take an issue with the Aztecs over this when you yourself have supported the death penalty.
