Which covenant class ability's will be 'too iconic' to remove by next expansion?

    Just a fun, simple question...

When the Shadowlands expansion is over and many of its systems, including Covenants, are about to be retired... which class+spec ability's will have become too beloved/iconic/engrained into their respective class to just outright remove? Ie; players will want to keep them in some form, maybe a talent option or just baked into the class itself.

What are your top few picks for covenant spells that you think, after ~1.5years+ of Shadowlands, players will want to keep around for their class the most going forward into 10.0?

I'd probably place Wild Spirits for hunters near the top of the list, and i'm sure every Druid will demand Convoke stick around too....

Honestly, I dont think any of the classes would lose anything by not keeping any of the covenant abilities. Other then maybe Divine toll or the venthyr/necro DK abilities.

Hopefully condemn is fucking gone. I like the utility but for some reason they decided to create impact delay similar to a spell travel time, whereas execute is instant.

Gotta agree, those 2 (divine toll and necro dk) are the only ones that come to mind. Well the Night Fae Hunter one and Druid's Convoke the Spirits as well probably. Warriors will probably just feel worse without Condem as well.. at least in the open world.

I don't think I would miss any of the others.
You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.

While shaman Night Fae isn't that popular... I hope all the nice Soul Shape models (with colouring toned down to light blue instead of deep dark blue) will stick around as customisation options for Shaman Ghost wolf ability (and they can rename it to spirit animal while at it, which fits more into totemic class of shaman).

I'm still mad I have to run around in wolf form as alliance shaman....

Kyrian (pvp) warriors might start to miss their spear, but personally i have grown quite fond of impending catastrophe on my lock.

All of them, we will leave the Shadowland and lose access to our soulbinds, covenants and everything. They will only be useable in Shadowlands content after 10.x.

    This is the way.

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

I want to keep my steward! She is iconic already! Cute little owls. I love them all. Won't coming back to Azeroth without them!

None of them will be "too iconic". But conjoke and condemn take the cake in terms of infamy.

The travel form from Ardenweald and Door of Shadows from Venthyr. They are not game-breaking but they are great!

convoke, DK necrolords, divine toll, necro banner

Pretty sure Demon Hunter's "The Hunt" will become a PvP talent

Convoke and divine toll are quite nice.

Wild spirits and all other ground targetted abilities should be spanked and flushed down the toilet. Absolutely hate those abilities: Tank decides to move pack 10 meters to the right? Say goodbye to your cd.

    Condemn

The nice thing about it is that it's just an amped execute so it's easy to bake into the class

I've bounced through all four covenants on my toon (rogue), and I've already forgotten what the Kyrian abilities were.

Love how people are saying Divine Toll, but not Ashen Hallow. I can live without DT, but AH is fantastic

They will undoubtedly remove them all, however in terms of who is going to feel the most hurt by the removals it is by absolutely miles Convoke and Wild Spirits.

Yeh Ashen hallow is amazing. The problem with these covenant abilities is that they are only rental powers. They could have done it so each covenant taught our class something. Necrolords for defensive spell, night fae for movement spells, venthyr for offensive spell, and kyrian for healing/utility spell (can change this based on classes but you get the point). Could even just be enhanced passive effects. That way our class would have learned something from each of them that we can carry forward.

Having huge spells like convoke just literally define the class is way too much.

I think convoke stands a good chance of surviving an expansion. They do a pretty good job with druid design considering the moon spells.

I've only played unholy DK(ven), resto shaman (necrolord) and a druid (night fae) this expansion and none of the spells they offer seem "iconic" to me, maybe the swarming mist for DK, but that's about it.
