You don't need to kill remnant to go to soulrender. BDGG spent hours on soulrender before deciding remnant would be easier.

Remnant is the easier boss
Sure you don’t have to go there first but it’s an easier kill thus a quicker kill thus more time to take on the harder bosses and more loot to make them easier

Keep in mind they build their comp and thus their gear around the planned comp for Sylvanas

You bring a paladin to do damage, not be tanky. Early bosses you don't need tankiness so you bring max damage, then swap away when you need tankiness again

No, you don't need to kill H to enter M and the first (few) bosses of Mythic tend to be easier then the last boss of Heroic.
