People always like to cite the Declaration of Independence, but the Declaration has fuck-all to do with anything America stood for at its founding.

Those are the "principles" people usually mean when they refer to the Founders; slavery, misogyny, violence, and exploitation. There's very little actual good to be found, here, once you scrape the surface and take it for what it actually meant in the context of 1776, rather than whatever you're going to try and pretend it should have meant.
to be fair I can see Dennis, being the massive misogynist and narcissist that he is, not disagreeing with the idea that all power should be in the hands of "land owning" that's the key part here, white men. that's part of the reason they were able to justify slavery when they created the constitution. in the minds of those men to be free was to own property, be that land, or people, because they being in that position of owning stuff, meant they knew what was best! you can see where the mind set of liberals assuming they know what's best for you, and the conservative fantasy of "meritocracy" came from.

You've got the Magna Carta, the English Bill of Rights 1689, the work of John Locke as a political/ethical philosopher (an Englishman, I'll note), and so on. The American Bill of Rights and such was nothing more than the next iteration of a movement that had been building for centuries by that time. And most of the foundational principles behind it significantly precede the American system.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone are the kinds of libertarians that mock everyone for caring too much about doing anything. seeing as the groipers care so much about being dorks they wouldn't be spared.
Yep, and as a result they did irreparable damage to the planet by helping furnish the notion that anthropogenic climate change is a hoax. They're equally as contemptible as folks like Prager U and don't get a pass just because they crack jokes about both sides of the aisle.
