Activision Blizzard Commits to Expanded Workplace Initiatives, Lawsuit Updates

Patch 9.1.5 PTR - Upcoming Hand Glow Effect for Nightborne

In this thread there has been passionate feedback for Nightborne to have the hand glow effect that is seen on some Nightborne NPCs. We loved the idea after reading your feedback and have been looking into the feasibility of bringing that option to Nightborne character customization. The hand glow effect is a bit more involved and has taken some finessing to figure out due to its unique nature, but we’ve gotten a good grasp on it. In this week’s PTR build, we’ll be bringing a version of this as a new customization option to Nightborne females for testing, with the male hand glow coming in a later PTR build.

The glow effect is a unique customization option and a work in progress, please let us know what you think after testing out the new option on your Nightborne.

    Conquest Earnings Increased by 70%

    • Conquest awarded by all activities has been increased by 70%.

The hotfix will go live in each region during scheduled weekly maintenance (7:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday, September 28 in this region).

    • Theater of Pain
      • Fixed an issue where gladiators in the Halls of Might could sometimes remain immune to player abilities after finishing their duel.

    Burning Crusade Classic

    • [With realm restarts] Spell Haste now lowers the global cooldown (GCD) to a minimum of 1.0 second (was 0.75 seconds).
      • Developers’ note: This hotfix is intended to bring the behavior of the GCD in line with version 2.4.0 of Burning Crusade, which the gameplay conditions of Burning Crusade Classic 2.5.2 are based on. Due to a bug in the original 2.4.0 code, players with high Spell Haste in original Burning Crusade were sometimes able to cast certain spells less than second apart, and they would also sometimes be delayed to over a second, based on how their actions were lining up with the server’s tick rate. We've decided that the fairest and most accurate thing we could do is to replicate the intent of the original game and enforce that Spell Haste cannot reduce the GCD below 1.0 second.

Neat, that would be a great Xmog option for nightborne casters.

I'm not sure where this hand glow stuff is coming from. It's pretty mediocre and odd. A lot of people been asking for better improvements for Nightborne for a long time...

I mentioned a cute feature they could add to Lightforged Draenei's to be different from normal ones.(Adds incentive for player to create one)
I've come to the realization none of this stuff is going to happen..

Maybe they can address the satanic looking goat for Lightofrged Draenei at the least? (As it could be a different type of model. Already ingame.) But I have my doubts on that too...

Anyways negativity aside, it is nice they are bumping up conquest points.

Now they just need to give us full void skin color for blood elves, errr, I mean, Void elves, and we are calling it game.

LD Paladins are getting their Talbuk mount.

Anybody got a picture of the NB glow effect? Can't remember.

Why not? Would be fitting for a NB arcane mage.

As long as actual blood elfs get same customizations as void elfs I am down with that.

You asketh, you shall be giveth.

So Blizzard. Narrow their eyes a bit more, and make the cheeks more like the npc version.

Thanks in advance, I'll comment in that article as well when you announce these new changes.

Btw, Star/moon infused skin for Night Elves. Do it.

    Seriously, do it, or else.

CP gain increased by 70%? That's awesome.

Good change for people who just started to do PvP this season.

Lets hope blizzard is open minded to listening the community next expansion too

Right, conquest was the problem. People with fresh 60s all complain about how hard it is to get conquest, not honor, conquest! Not that we need billions of honor points to buy gear and upgrade it and then buy conquest gear to then upgrade it with honor again

Today is New World day. Let's see what WoW can do to stave off another drop.

"Lowers" the cooldown from .75 to 1.00?

Hmmm. If something costs $75, and then it costs $100, they've sure lowered the price, all right.

GCD is 1.5s, lowering to 1s instead of .75 seconds is still lowering it.

Damn, Nightborne are really getting spoiled.
I'm still hoping for more Void Elf hair styles and other customizations

Now they only need to nerf Rdruid in arena. classes without dispell gets cucked, they full hot then run around doing what ever since it overheals 10xwarriors vs 1

Ears please. Glow is nice. Maybe my mage will switch back to a Nightborne if the glowing continues.
